Laufey (pronounced l?y-v?y) is a 24-year-old, Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose jazz songs are about young love and self-discovery. Raised between Reykjavik and Washington, D.C. with annual visits to Beijing, the Icelandic-Chinese artist grew up playing cello as well as piano and became hooked on the jazz standards of Ella Fitzgerald after digging through her father's record collection. In 2020, while still a student at Berklee College of Music, Laufey released her debut single "Street by Street," which went on to top the Icelandic radio charts. Following the release of her 2021 Typical of Me EP, Laufey was named Best New Artist in Jazz and Blues at the Icelandic Music Awards and hosted her own show on BBC Radio 3/BBC Sounds. Her debut full-length Everything I Know About Love, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Alternative New Artist Album chart, and the lead single "Valentine" peaked at #1 on the Spotify Jazz Chart. In 2022 Laufey was the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify, with 425 million streams across all platforms.

I felt like she was literally singing in my ear, the visuals and lighting were absolutely fantastic. I’m so happy that I got to attend and if she ever does a concert in Vancouver again I’ll be the first to buy a ticket :)

This was my first time coming to a concert alone. I’ve always been such a big fan of Laufey and was impressed with how quickly I was able to get in, and how great the concert would be. I had great seats and loved that the crowd wasn’t crazy loud so I got to hear Laufey loud and clear (she also sounds exactly as she does on Spotify, natural born singer, shes absolutely amazing! Even better live) I loved the set design! It was just a great concert experience, I can’t wait to see her again when she’s back in Toronto!!
No words can describe the absolute shock and awe I was in during the entire concert. A person who I hold so dearly in my heart and look up to, in front of me, going even beyond my expectations. She was funny, sweet and overall as talented as she lets on. Would recommend to everyone fan of jazz or pop to give her a try and to definitly see her live if given the chance.
Une artiste que j’ai découverte grâce à ma fille de 15 ans. Vu en 2022 au festival de Jazz de Montréal et offert en cadeau à ma fille et moi aussi pour sa tournée. Une ambiance intime et agréable. Une artiste complète. Belle à voir performer.
Absolutely magical performance and spectacular everything by Laufey and her band. Cried like two or three times during the performance lol Her crowd work is fantastic and her voice is even more captivating in person
Laufey was enchanting and bewitching!!! She played many instruments and the Montreal crowd sang along to everything. Love the theatre experience, small space yet intimate — perfect for the Laufey experience! Even without an orchestra, she demonstrated excellent musical talent. I brought my friends and my boyfriend (who’s never been to a concert) and they loved it 😭 ANYWAY you keep going Laufey!! Lots of love! bisous
