Unfortunately, didn't live up to expectations.

by TFry on 2018-06-13Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Perhaps we should have done our homework, and been more of a solo artist fan for these two performers. While their talents were outstanding, my husband and I expected more of a "Glee Revival" of hits from the show. We also had to leave early, because the audience participation left our ears ringing. As well, the age group was a lot, lot younger than we expected, and with that came intense, shrill, cheering of the crowd . Maybe some Glee hits came on after we left 1:50 minutes into the show, but the performers hinted that the evening was almost over, so we got out before the rush.

by JayJer on 2018-06-13Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

LM&DC were excellent, amazing and unforgettable. They provided an excellent and enjoying experience you didn't want to end. They are a must see if the tour together again or just to see alone in the future.

Lea and Darren are amazing performers

by Anonymous on 2018-06-13Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

These two artists are incredible musicians and performers. The singing ability of Lea is absolutely incredible and th power of her voice fills the auditorium. Darren is a true musicians. He owns the stage, has great stage presence and knows how to work the crowd. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.

    Very Good but short

by DavidToronto on 2017-05-11Massey Hall - Toronto

Fantastic voice. Screaming teenagers didn't help. Not enough Barbra and song was rushed. Too short but overall good show.

Lea Michele Intimate, Magical and Powerful

A truly outstanding experience with Lea Michele. It felt like she walked into your living room with highly talented musicians and sang her heart out.

    show was way too short

    by denny9 on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

Love Lea Michele as she is an amazing vocalist. While most of our fellow concert-goers might disagree, our group felt that at barely 60 minutes long, we were ripped off. The cost of the tickets was quite high. The upper balcony seats at Massey Hall are in desperate need of refurbishment as they are still the original wooden ones I'm sure. Definitely not comfortable for your butt. As beautiful and talented as she is, Lea seemed nervous and her commentary between songs was very repetitive. She did however seem to have a genuine affinity and love for Toronto and her fans. I heard the girl beside me complaining that she couldn't make out the lyrics of most of Lea's song choices but Lea's diehard fans obviously didn't care...or knew all the words themselves. A few of us were disappointed with the repertoire which were almost all sad or contemplative love songs. Many fans were disappointed when she didn't sing "Don't Rain on My Parade" especially as her final song selection.

    Beautiful, intimate... but too short

by LoRay on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

When I saw that Lea Michele was coming to Toronto, I was extremely excited. She truly has one of the most beautiful voices in music and I was not disappointed seeing her live. It really was an intimate atmosphere since Massey Hall holds just over 2,000. She had a piano player, violinist, cello player, bass player and drummer accompanying her so all of the songs were stripped down. She spoke to the audience a lot, told us stories and made us feel like she valued having us as fans. She also sang a nice collection of songs from her albums Louder and Places and of course Glee. Her voice is absolutely stunning and for that alone, I would see her again. However, there was one major disappointment. The entire concert was only about an hour and 10 minutes - and that includes chatting with the audience. I love connecting with artists I go to see, but I find ticket prices just keep rising and artists keep playing shorter shows. I attended this concert with my mom and we each paid over $70 for our tickets with all fees (and those weren't even the most expensive seats). I was extremely disappointed with how short it was. Fans do not want to feel ripped off, and I felt slightly ripped off. If Lea tours again, I strongly urge her to play a longer show. Even playing 4 or 5 more songs could have made a difference (which was definitely possible with both albums and Glee). Yes, I would recommend this because the concert itself was beautiful and fans should see her live at least once. However, if the length doesn't improve, I don't know if I'd go again.

    Lea Michele returns to Toronto

    by jessejinx13 on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

An enjoyable but brief evening at Historic Massey Hall. Sang a good mix of songs from previous and latest albums. Show was barely 75 minutes. Good back up ensemble

    LEA MICHELE'S 1 HOUR PERFORMANCE

by CCGG on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

Great voice but apparently this primadonna can only perform for 1 hour. Way too short. Wasted evening.

    Disappointed

by MarniM on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

While I know that Lea Michele has a great voice, I didn't think that her song choices were the best. They were generally slow and uninspiring, and definitely failed to show her range and power. She can belt out a tune better than most, but sadly this concert didn't really feature her talents as much as I'd hoped.

    Lea Michele sings beautifully!

by swanheart on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

Lea was wonderful. It would have been great if she performed longer than just an hour. We drove 4 hours for an hour performance.

    A Brief Encounter

by FormerGleek on 2017-05-09Massey Hall - Toronto

Lea was on stage for only one hour which, when combined with lengthy spoken monologues before each song resulted in little actual singing. A greater nod to glee would have been good. Overall I was disappointed and didn't want to be.
