  • Beautiful talent, but lacks connection to the audience

by Cowgirl Pinay on 2023-06-18Rating: 3 out of 5

I watched Leah Salonga’s show at Winspear Opera with my friend on June 17. Her talent and voice is magnificent and she showcased her wide ranges of her voice. She sang a lot of unfamiliar songs. She was celebrating her 45th Anniversary in the music and entertainment industry; we were expecting to hear some of her original hit music in the Philippines, but she never sang any of them. We’re happy to hear her sing live “ The Whole New World” and the “ Reflectiions” in a medley. That made our night!! I think that she could have better connections and energized the audience if she sang more of her hit songs during the journey of her career. Still a good show, but I think she missed an opportunity to connect to a lot audience in the crowd.

  • April 6th show

Lea has a great voice and a very good presence on stage. Her show was quite short for the price of admission.

  • Great concert

by Brent M on 2022-04-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Great sound, great voice, great venue. Well organized in terms of seating, etc., although a clearly marked line outside the doors prior to them being opened would have been better structured than a bunch of people standing around wondering if there was a formal line-up.

  • Excellent performance

First time I saw her performed live. She has excellent voice very endearing, audience obviously love her. She is beautiful and an excellent performer. I bought her CD after the performance but disappointed that the songs in the CD are not at all what I expected. Overall though, the concert was a success.

It was a great night evening performance. One of the great voices in her generation. A spark of it own Disney’s magic.

  • Really good show but a little disappointed

    by S. L. on 2022-04-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Lea is an AMAZING singer, no doubt about it. However, it would have been nice if she sang more of her original songs and/or more of the songs most of us common folk are familiar with. She breezed through the Aladdin, Mulan, and well known Les Mis songs in a medley at the end. Those tunes got the loudest cheers from the audience but we weren't given the full songs. I'm a little sad I waited the 2 years to see her sing those live and she did a speed run of them.

  • Not the best experience at the theatre

    by DD13 on 2022-04-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

Lea was amazing but the crowd almost ruined the experience. Everyone had their phones out and were recording the show, taking pictures, talking and screaming throughout the show. Phones shouldn’t be allowed and people should be made aware of proper etiquette before the show starts. Not a pleasant experience.

  • Word class talent

Whenever Leah performed on stage it is always watched in full capacity. Whatever price you paid for to watch her performance is very worthy. The venue for this year in Vancouver is perfect, the sound, the reception and the ambiance. Can’t wait to see another Leah Salonga’s concert in the near future.
