About

With four Grammys and eight consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard Rap Albums chart, the luster of Lil Wayne’s accomplishments as a rapper rivals the bling of his signature gold chains and grill. With the release of 2013’s I Am Not a Human Being II, Wayne landed four more singles on the Billboard Hot 100, edging out Elvis Presley to became the male with the most entries on the chart – a whopping 109 in total. Singles like “Love Me” and “No Worries” featured his characteristic use of Auto-Tune to create a highly melodic hybrid of rap and R&B, propelling the album to a No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200. After becoming the youngest member on Cash Money Records’ roster when he joined the imprint at age nine, Wayne rose to fame with his group Hot Boys before achieving success as a solo artist. His instantly recognizable sound has been honed over 11 studio albums and made famous by hits like “Lollipop”, “How to Love”, and “She Will”. On the road with 2 Chainz in 2013 for the America’s Most Wanted Tour, Wayne treated ticket buyers to his hit-filled live concert, serving it all up with a hearty side of swagger.

What else could you ask for?

by JDetlor on 2011-05-01Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

So happy that Weezy made to Calgary again! And he brought friends too! :P The show started off with Travis Barker killing it on the drums to all sorts of different songs, from the ramones to Drake. Rick Ross did a good job keeping the crowd entertained, even though most in attendance didn't seem to know too many of his songs. After Rick Ross finished, I was anticipating Nicki Minaj to come out next. But Weezy through a curveball and came out next, wearing a white and blue Canada shirt!!!!! Playing songs from all of his records and mixtapes. He brought other members of Young Money (Mack Maine and Lil Twist) out to perform with him. Nicki Minaj split up Wayne's set perfectly. Everything from skin tight body suits to giving Travis Barker a lap dance on stage! All in all a pretty sick show, as always Lil Wayne!

This concert was amazing, from beginning to end. I even cried when Nicki Minaj came out. She's my idol. I would definitely recommend thus concert to anyone, and it was well worth the $250 I spent on 17th row tickets!

I went to the lil' wayne concert on friday april 29 2011 . I love Lil'Wayne & Nicki Minaj . It was very entertaining from 7:30-11:40 . I thought we would just be seeing , Lil wayne , Nicki and rick ross , but they sure had a lineup of people from travis barker to Porcelain Black & The drummer from the Beastie Boys It was a Unforgettable night . Lil' Wayne came on at around 9:10 and the crowd went wild . From the time he came on to the time he got off he had the whole crowd singing his songs , laughing at his jokes and screaming phrases he wanted us to scream . This was a unforgettable night & I hope Lil'Wayne & Nicki Minaj Come back to calgary soon .

    Weezy is king

    by Bharris4 on 2011-04-30Rexall Place - Edmonton

The show was awesome except for a couple of things. Rick Ross had no business being there he is a correctional officer rapping about selling drugs. Nicki Minaj was good until half her set was wasted trying to get two horrible dancers to battle on stage. Weezy and Travis Barker killed it tho.

    lil wayne

by lorita on 2011-04-30Rexall Place - Edmonton

I bought tickrts for my teens, they thought the show was great, but they all thought it was way to loud, as a parent when a show is supposed to start at 8.00pm I think it's very unprofessional for the doors not even to open until 8.30. I go to lots of concerts, and I just find that very disrespectful to the fans, but I know stuff happens.
