Little Big on Tour
Russian pop-punk band Little Big were once best known for their catchy and lively single "Skibidi," which spawned a popular dance challenge of the same name that mimicked the dance moves featured in the song's video, garnering it more than 500 million views.
The band, which features at 2022 lineup of Ilya "Ilich" Prusikin and Sonya Tayurskaya, decided to leave Russia and relocate to Los Angeles amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and released the controversial 2022 single "Generation Cancellation," which criticizes the Russian war against Ukraine and the politics and propaganda surrounding it.
Calling themselves a satirical art collaboration and a "scalding cocktail of absurdity and pure craziness," Little Big mix rave, pop, punk, and hardcore styles and have collaborated with the likes of Die Antwoord, Clean Bandit and Sacha Baron Cohen. Don't miss the chance to see this unique and outspoken group when they come to a city near you.
Little Big Live in Concert
Little Big started off as a boldly satirical pop-punk band in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 2013. Past members have included Olympia Ivleva, Anton "Boo" Lissov, Sergey "Gokk" Makarov, and founding member Anna Kast, who passed away in 2021.
Citing musical influences such as Cannibal Corpse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rammstein, and Vivaldi, Little Big's first live show was in 2014 opening for the bold South African rap-rave band Die Antwoord. Their lively and unforgettable performance earned them the nickname the "Russian Die Antwoord." Since then they've released four albums and nine singles.
The band, which features a 2022 lineup of Ilya "Ilich" Prusikin and Sonya Tayurskaya, were slated to be Russia's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020 until the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They would have performed the song "Uno" and although it never happened on the famed international songwriting competition, "Uno" became a hugely popular single and the colorful dance video has been streamed more than 250 million times.
Highly recommend seeing Little Big for an incredibly fun evening of high energy dance music. Everyone gets up and dances!
