BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Simbi Ajikawo (aka Little Simz) grew up in North London, where she started pursuing the performing arts at an early age. Her first big break in entertainment came in 2010 when she was cast in the BBC series Spirit Warriors, but she felt that music was her true calling and soon released her first mix tape STRATOSPHERE. Before long her progressive hip hop sound caught on, and Jay-Z's Life+Times website distributed her 2013 mixtape Blank Canvas. She threw herself even deeper into her craft the following year, releasing four EPs of original material before embarking on her AGE101 DROP THE WORLD Tour. The rising star didn't slow down in 2015 and released her full-length debut The Curious Tales of Trials + Persons to widespread acclaim. With performance chops that rival her cutting-edge recordings, Little Simz has audiences waiting with bated breath to see what she comes up with next.
Mezzanine seating arrangements were very disorganized, venue should consider hiring more waiters/waitresses to accommodate for the high demand of diners there. Personnel was lovely, very helpful, venue is spacious and cool!
The venue was amazing (History Theatre Toronto), but Little Simz was on a whole other level. I have seen hip artists in the past including Eminem, but the performance, the energy, and the sound of this performance was one I will remember for the rest of my life. I would 100% see her again, and again. Top notch rapper, with great energy and seemed to play song after song with little to pause in between.
Loved every moment of it! Enjoyed the night with her at MTelus. Hope she comes back to Montreal. We sold her out for that venue.
Insanely personal show. Little simz bursts onto stage with an immediate sense of style and swagger. Plenty of hype when wanted and come-downs when needed. would definitely visit again! She pointed at me!!! MUCH LOVE 4 SIMZZ❤️
Witnessed greatness. Top 3 performers I’ve seen. Considering the last concert I saw was Beyoncé, it’s insane to see just as incredible of a preformed right after.
The performance was incredible. It was beyond disappointing the venue forced the show earlier to fit in another act after. It was obvious she wanted to play more and the venue wouldn’t allow it due to time constraints. 5 stars for simz. 2 stars for the commodore.
