LIV WARFIELD IN CONCERT:

Portland, OR-based soul singer Liv Warfield is one of the most exciting young voices in R&B music — just ask Prince. A regular member of the Purple One's touring band since 2008, Warfield has had a longstanding creative relationship with the legendary artist that extends to her latest album Unexpected, for which Prince penned the title track and acted as executive producer. Known as "Portland's most soulful singer," the stylish young Warfield is a consummate performer, and her upcoming shows in support of Unexpected's release  are sure to be nothing short of outstanding.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Illinois, Warfield relocated to Portland to attend Portland State University on a track and field scholarship. Testing the waters as a singer at open mic nights and karaoke bars in the city's eclectic music scene, Warfield's confidence grew, resulting in regular performances around town. In 2004, she released her solo debut album Embrace Me, a collection of songs that hinted at her potential and helped pave the way for her future role singing backup for Prince. Under his mentorship, Warfield has continued to grow as an artist, making her sophomore outing in 2014 with Unexpected, a stunning soul album featuring songwriting and production work by the Purple One himself.
