LOS LONELY BOYS IN CONCERT:
Chicano rock favorites Los Lonely Boys are known for their signature "Texican Rock n' Roll," a unique style that combines rock, Texas blues, and Tejano. Approaching two decades together, the Boys are nothing if not seasoned performers, and fans can expect to see a rip-roaring display of musicianship from the tireless trio at their live shows. With their eighth album hot off the presses, Los Lonely Boys will hit the stage hotter than a ball of Texas fire on their 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Comprised of Texan brothers Henry, Jojo, and Ringo Garza, Los Lonely Boys self-released several records in Nashville in the '90s before moving back to their home state with the hope of finding a more appreciative audience. The move proved fruitful — under the tutelage of Willie Nelson, the trio's self-titled third album peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, going on to receive double platinum certification from the RIAA. Since then, they’ve become key players in the Texas music scene, releasing a string of successful records including the Grammy-winning hit single "Heaven" and Grammy-nominated songs "More than Love" and "Onda."

Los Lonely Boys are amazing Artists! I've seen them twice and both shows were spectacular. It is so refreshing to see a band give 150% to their audience - All of them are good, but Henry Garza is unreal - he can STRUM!! If you want to treat yourselves to some good old "Texa - cana" ROCK 'N ROLL nothing is better than watching Henry Garza play his guitar. 5 stars - highly recommend!
I have had Los Lonely Boys' self-titled album for ten or more years, and listen to it regularly, so I was looking forward to this concert. Problem is, I listen to the CD at low volume, but when these guys perform live, they play LOUD. The sound mix was such that I often could not make out the lyrics. I found that Henry's guitar solos could get a bit long. Henry is heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix. Now, these guys are excellent musicians, and genuinely good people. They write and play great songs. But I did not enjoy the concert as much as I had hoped. And, given that the average age of the audience seemed to be 50+, I don't think I am the only one.
The evening started on a positive note Lukas Nelson was great. A talented, entertaining and personable performer who I would enjoy seeing more of. After a too long intermission, Los Lonely Boys started their set at a volume level that can only be described as painful. We kept waiting for a volume level adjustment correction that never came. It is a shame as they are a fine group and it would have been great to actually hear them. The soundman definitely ruined it for me.
We went to the concert to see Lukas Nelson, one of our favourites and knew nothing about Los Lonely Boys...they were fabulous! We were so impressed with their talent...heartfelt musicians with incredible skills and depth! We danced the night away and felt like teenagers again (we are in our late sixties)...one of our best concerts ever! Our boy Lukas was, as ever, amazing and so full of life...third time seeing him...first time in Paia at Charley's where we brought in the New Year with Lukas and dad Willie...best New Year's ever! Needless to say, we had a lively evening and so much fun! We definitely hope to see Los Lonely Boys again...and plan to see Lukas as often as possible! Please bring them both back! Thank you!
Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys and Alehandro Escovedo...Small but appreciative crowd danced and grooved to a wonderful night of energetic live music that covered all the expected tunes and surprised with some excellent covers. Escovedo started things off right on this 4 hour tunefest. Los Lonely Boys can mix rock and fusion and latin as well as any of the groundbreakers........then Los Lobos, Deliver the exclamation mark......this is simply great music and they always add in some live surprise. Anytime Anywhere I'd recommend checking out this show or any of the parts.
This event was truely amazing!! The skill demonstrated by all bands was truly remarkable!! The skill level exhibited showed that each performer was a master of thier instrument!!
