About

Melissa Etheridge is one of rock music’s great female icons.  Her critically-acclaimed eponymous debut album was certified double-platinum.  Etheridge’s popularity built around such memorable songs as Bring Me Some Water,No Souvenirs and Ain't It Heavy for which she won her first Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Amfeaturing the massive hits I’m the Only One and Come to My Window, a searing song of longing that brought her a second Grammy.  The six times platinum album spent more than two and a half years on the album chart.  Etheridge is also an Oscar winner for Best Original Song in 2007.  In 2011 Melissa made her Broadway debut as St. Jimmy in Green Day’s rock opera, American Idiot, where she replaced Billie Joe Armstrong for one week, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Her most recent album, This Is M.E. was released on September 30, 2014.

    Two concerts in one! I wasn't familiar with Joss Stone and her music but I sure am a fan now! Amazing! Then, enter the undeniable force that is Melissa Etheridge. We could not contain ourselves. The audience burst into applause, screams and whistles, welcoming her onto the stage. She shot up to my 2nd favourite concert this season, Chicago being my #1. Keep bringing these wonderful entertainers to Niagara. As a born and raised N.F. senior, I never imagined this quality of entertainment coming on a regular basis to an amazing theatre here in town. Keep them coming! And coming back.

    Melissa Etheridge did not let down..... She played hit after hit! and even told stories in between about the music or song. A great span of songs from the late 80's to now. In my opinion she has reached Legend Status! The opener Joss Stone was nothing short of amazing. I have seen her on TV before and enjoyed her performance but this is the first time I have seen her live .....WOW. What an amazing voice ! A great performer and person. Thoroughly enjoyed her performance!!!

    I thought this was an odd mix - Joss Stone, soul queen, and Melissa Etheridge, rock goddess. But I was not disappointed in any way. Joss - even heavily pregnant - rocked it. After a slow build in a comfy chair, she then danced and sang, mixing classic soul songs and urging the audience to sing. She was mind blowing. I’ve been trying to get to a Melissa Etheridge show for years. We got excellent seats, in the VIP Merchandise bundle, and the whole show was amazing. Melissa played some of her awesome older hits, with the whole arena singing. She brought in a choir from a local high school to do a couple of songs. She took the audience by the hand and made us rock. If you’re toying with seeing either of these amazing women, spend the money. They’re worth every penny!

    Was supposed to be a night out for the wife and myself but she lost it for no reason when she came home from work so we did not attend. The duo always put on a fiery and interactive show so I know we missed a lot. Hell of a loss because this isn't coming back for a while. Cheers

    Melissa was awesome. I’ve been trying to see her for awhile. She came to Ontario a few times but it was to far for me to go. So happy she came to Niagara and so happy I got to see her performance. She is a talented musician and I was pleasantly surprised to see her play the piano, drums, and hermonica. Loved her music in the 80’s and Love her still❤️

    The Melissa Etheridge concert at Niagara Falls OLG Stage was everything I expected and more!! Surprise addition of Guelph Collegiate choir was especially appreciated. Wonderful to see an icon share the stage with these young students.
