This is the second time we went to see this show and it was even more enjoyable then the first time. There were times that we could not hear well but this may be where we sat. We would definitely recommend this show.
Even though this was the second time I see this show I still enjoyed it as much the second time as the first.. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed Mamma Mia very much. Still on the fence whether I preferred the movie or the musical. Maybe knowing the characters in the movie is what I preferred. Some parts in the movie I preferred over the musical.
From start to finish, I was entertained. Also, for the price of the seats, we were pretty close to the front! I would definitely recommend someone to go if it came back to Ottawa.
I honestly dislike musicals - very much! So imagine my surprise when I found the singing not only bearable but enjoyable and the cast exceptionally talented (unlike Meryl Streep in the movie!). I also had quite a few chuckles thanks to some witty humour and hilarious scenes. The cast was awesome - they truly gave their all in this performance and I am so thankful as my brother is a huge fan and he was thrilled! We both danced at the very end when they broke out into "Waterloo." My thanks to the cast for being so kind and enthusiastic with him after the show. He has been carrying that polaroid around with him everywhere!
Awesome performance by all. I loved how they acted to the different songs that were played. Truly amazing job each of them did. I also enjoyed the way they sang 3 songs after the performance with all cast on stage. That was great. Sophie the main actor did an amazing job!
We had a great time at the show. The cast was very talented and the singing was great. Lots of energy.
I went with my 10 year old daughter, and we really enjoyed it. It was a first experience for her, and she definitely wanted to repeat the experience.
Absolutely amazing! Third time seeing Mamma Mia and it never gets boring. Will be seeing it again, when it comes to Ottawa !!!
Cast was average this time. Sound at times really wasn't that good in a couple of spots, too shrill. Usually the sound is always awesome at NAC.
It was fun. It was great. Everyone sang along. Standing ovation with singing and dancing at the end.
great show. at times the band was overpowering the singer, which was unfortunate because the voices were great.It was a sound system problem, not the band. Enjoyed it much. Some truly fun moments and powerful songs.
This is the second time I have been to see Mamma Mia and I enjoyed it even more this time. The acting was hilarious, the singing was absolutely outstanding and of course the dancing was terrific. The troupe works so well together and you can tell that they really enjoy what they do.
I saw Grease and was really impressed but Mamma Mia was by far the best I've seen yet.
I loved this production of Mama Mia. This is at least the fourth production of Mama Mia that I have seen and I believe one of the best. I always love the antics of Rosie and Tanya but they were outstanding in this production. Donna's performance of "The Winner takes it All " was truly powerful! Congratulations to the cast , crew and musicians for a fantastic show. Can't wait until the next time this show is in Ottawa.
The show was very colourful and enjoyable! We had a very good time. I would highly recommend it.
If you haven't seen this - you must. I have seen it many times and want to see it again and again. The story is hilarious and very touching. As a parent, your heart is aching when the mother realizes how quickly time has flown by.
We went to the Sunday Matinee of Mama Mia with our seven year old granddaughter, and it was excellent! I have seen the stage production nine times now, and this one was MUCH better than the last one we saw at the NAC. Our granddaughter had only seen the movie (several times), and she loved how they did the stage adaptation.. and I explained that it was on stage before it ever became a movie. The singing was good.. the music was good.. the acting was good... all in all, an excellent production!
It was a blast! Everybody was signing along to every song. The second act was non-stop; It just flew by. Bring a couple people you love out to see this fantastic production!
I very much enjoyed the whole event - the music and singing was amazing, especially "Donna". However, there were a couple of scenes that could have omitted the random sexual undertones. They were not needed and spoiled the whole scene.
