Manic Street Preachers Tickets

Such a great show. Massey Hall is a gorgeous venue with great sound. Both Suede and MSP had such excellent energy and played great songs, both new and old. Overall a great night!

Manic Street Preachers and Suede were both fantastic. It was a great double bill.

I expected an average show but Suede surprised and impressed with their show. Brett Anderson is a fantastic performer and his energy was infectious. The crowd was thrilled with the performance and I would see them again if they come back to Toronto.

Well, my two favourite bands. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the announcement for the show. I Was fortunate enough to get second row seats, centre (a small fortune) the venue was perfect (atmospheric Massey Hall) Suede: As for the performance Brett Anderson left it all on the stage…it was visceral and joyous..at several points he entered the crowd, holding hands with fans and receiving hugs while singing ( I hugged him twice lol ) the set list was perfect, classics and their legitimately superb new material. Not since I saw Morrissey several years ago have I been on such a high after a show. The fans were beautiful and friendly… super positive vibes all night. Manics: Awesome! James Dean Bradfield probably one of the greatest lead guitarists of all time ) guitar God?) feeling the music of Motorcycle Emptiness all around you and vibrating off your body I was nearly in tears lol…Their set list was also perfect..ending with a Design For Life.

The manic street preachers managed to give a great varied performance - playing both older and newer songs. It was great to see my fellow country men pay homage to the country with a great slow song showcasing solo talent. They then easily picked up the tempo again with favorites such as: If you tolerate this, stole the sun etc. I couldn"t believe how fast the time went.

Best band in the world! Seek out their material, then make the effort to see them!

Great show absolutely brilliant, big fan for 20 years but have had a chance to see them for one reason or another. 2 disappointments, show ended and only one night.

In spite of them being used to Wembley sized venues in Europe, the Manics did not let the much smaller size of the Danforth theatre venue compromise the quality and energy they invested in the show. The holy bible is not the most accessible material they have but they did a great job in performing it at their best....and the last 45 minutes with the great standards like a design for life and motorcycle emptiness were simply amazing....great band !

Great sound, great setlist, great energy. James is such an underrated singer. Can't wait to see them again.

fithteen years after the boys from blackwood(S.Wales)played in north america their intensity was still there if not their anger and haterid! This was not the full on album promtion from their uk gigs(played the whole of their new album )but a massive attack of material spreading from 1990 onwards .To open the precidings they kicked off with 6 mintues of brilliance in "motorcylce emptiness "to which the full house(small ,good venue)seem to apperiate!. what folowed was a very well crafted and excellently played,(james dean bradfield must be the most underrated guitarist of his generation!)set that spanned most of their worki including 4 tracks from their current album and the now the regular 2 acoustic tunes,with lyrics from the departed member ritchie edwards , would the public of 15 years ago allowed this? i doubt it! what was the biggest surprise was that i got the feeling the band enjoyed the show themselfs, which was surprising as it seemed 90 %of the crowd had their feet nailed to the floor ,with very little audience partipation?was this the crowd or me?after all it was a young crowd in general,with the odd 40 somethings splattered about! but i would expect the first 30 feet to be awash of people bouncing all over the place as your senses are assulted with this type of music!!(angry hardrock/punk) with the band playing tribute to "rush" with a few riffs here and there and nicky wire speaking lyrics in between tunes ,it seemed that the boys were having fun. on the whole the band is much better live with the addtion of a backing guitarist and keyboard player ,allowing the 3 mebers to expoilt their skills and not lose the plot . if want hard guitar screa ming,with sublte melodies ,angry lyrsic that are usually far too clever for themsevles you should check these boys out! as a live tact hey have an edge that so many other bands pretend to have but are unable to deliver!

It was a great show with terrific energy. I just wished they'd played a lot more from The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go, which, in my opinion, are easily their best albums.

Finally got to see these guys in concert after wanting to since '96 or so. Great show, l would certainly see them again.

Epic. Worth the 10 year wait.

More than ten years past their last visit and the MSP have lost nothing. As vital and engaging as ever the Manics tore through their 20 + song set with passion and intensity. The show was exceptional. Few bands can start off with a true signature song ,Motorcycle Emptiness, and then proceed to raise their performance throughout the show. The audience reception showed that plenty of people in Toronto do care for one of Great Britian's most vital bands of the past 20 years. They made Tuesday's Arctic Monkeys show seem amateurish, somewhat limp and contrived. Come back soon JDB et al, the fans loved it!

MSP were absolute crowdpleasers playing all my favorite songs, and even some I had forgotten I knew. They played energetically, jumped and did rock-star guitarist gestures and kept the crowd roaring and cheering throughout the concert. They were very communicative with the crowd, which gave the concert a more personal feel. The sound was very good, but the lighting was a bit basic. It was my first time at the Phoenix (I'm on vacation in Toronto from Israel) and I think it is an excellent venue, with good viewing points from the floor and the balcony (and even some balcony chairs & sofas for the early birds). I have only points for improvements: 1) The time between the opening act and MSP was too long because a good part of MSP balance and guitar tuning was done between the shows. 2) I had really expected some concert food, like a good hot dog to accompany the bear, and was disappointed to discver no food was being sold.

Well I was amazed, the manics have a press reputation for being full of them selves , however You can't believe everything you read . So I went to the concert expecting to just see them come on stage and just do their new album but what a blast from the past, right from the off they went through there back catalog of classic songs well worth every cent the Valley boys come good banging

The Manics were perfect. The band played every song with passion and that carried into the audience. I had a lot of fun watching them for the first time, and I wish I could of scene them the last time they came to Vancouver 10 years ago. The sound was amazing and you could hear every instrument and backing vocal. James Bradfield is one of the best singers in rock and is a real treat to hear him live. Every song sounded as good or better then off their albums. If I could see them again on this tour I would.

waiting ten years was worth it. amazing playlist covering all eras, amazing acoustic performance of EVERLASTING, crowd was great. overall one of the finest live shows ive seen for a long time.
