About

New York native Marc Anthony, born Marco Antonio Muniz to Puerto Rican parents, is the top-selling salsa artist of all time and has wowed fans across the globe for 20-plus years. In 2013 Anthony released 3.0, his first album of new salsa material in almost a decade. He spent the second half of 2013 on his "Vivir Mi Vida" world tour, refocusing his concert setlists on upbeat salsa material and creating a party-like atmosphere for fans who bought tickets. Anthony released his debut album, "When the Night Is Over," in 1991, and immediately found success when its single "Ride on the Rhythm" topped Billboard's dance music charts. In the years that followed, he released a mix of English- and Spanish-language albums, occasionally crossing into the pop mainstream but always keeping a foot in his salsa roots. It's been a wildly successful route, resulting in more than 30 million albums sold worldwide, a pair of Grammy Awards, and three Latin Grammy Awards.

King of salsa of the modern era !

by Roupen on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Show was awesome, sounds was great and Marc Anthony was amazing. I consider him the King of Salsa of our times. My advice, forget the comedy to start and get a DJ to pump up the crowd. I’m available if you need anyone in Montréal.

    Let Down

by Luisa on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Marc Anthony and his band are amazing performers however he sang for about 1 hour and left out a lot of songs from his repertoire. The first part with the comedian was horrible. He made no one laugh and his jokes were about race, vaccine and gender. I enjoyed the 1 hour to the max but i felt let down walking out of the venue.

    Overall disappointing

    by G. G. G. on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

This is the 3rd time I have gone to a Marc Anthony concert, and overall, the experience was disappointing. The act started with a "comedian" which had a terrible sense of humor and jokes which were 30 years outdated, to the point he was booed out of the scenario. Then the actual concert started around 21:15, 1:15 after what was programmed, after 10 min of the band playing solos while Marc Anthony was arriving. Marc Anthony started strong, but quickly faded, making a big pause between songs, his voice, sometimes powerful, sometimes completely lost, so it was difficult to hear him sometimes. He gave way too long time to the solos of his band (guitar and drums). The worst, is that instead of him singing, he just started the songs and let the crowd sing the rest of the songs, this is unacceptable, i paid to hear him sing, not to sing myself or listen to others sing, ?I can go to a Karaoke for that. The overall concert lasted around 1:20, if we consider the solos and pauses, he "sang" for about an hour.. A robbery.. I read other reviews of this tour and this seems to be a constant. I do not know if it is age, o he simply does not care about his fans anymore and just wants to make a quick buck, but definitively, I know I will not pay to see him again.

    Mauvais

by Ivonne on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

    Simply spectacular

by Ernesto on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Marc Anthony did not disappoint, it was spectacular... not even sure why the venue had seats, nobody was sitting for the entire time

    Marc Anthony, yes!! But…

by Isabella on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

If we are talking about the concert, Marc Anthony was amazing. Such a great singer and his band was amazingly talented as well! HOWEVER, the opening act, “Comedian Joey Vega” was … horrible. The “jokes” he made were not well received by the crowd, people were yelling at him to leave. He wasnt funny in any way. So disappointed that he was the opening show, but fortunately Marc Anthony saved the evening!

    Poor show

by Joey on 2022-11-14Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Mark Anthony wasted 1/3 of the show introducing his band. His voice is not what it used to be. Would never waste my money seeing him again

    Expected so much more

by Super disappointing on 2022-11-14Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Marc Anthony by far my fav…but he was late and all the breaks in between the wings and the long focus on his band…felt that for a concert that was postponed by a year!!!! He could have given more …he has so much amazing music and couldn’t have sand more than an hour …if that ! …definitely would not return to one of his concerts !

    Sound terrible

    by Miamid45 on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Sitting in Reds close to stage, sound quality not great…could barely here Marc, between overwhelming bass and fans that think they can sing better than him! We know you know the lyrics, no need to scream them so we can’t hear the real singer!

    Not enough room for dancing

by Joa on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Centre Bell is not an adequate place for salsa concerts. The room was too tight. I could barely move there.

    So disappointed!

by Paola on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Terrible sound. Bad echo. I was sitting in section 200 which are very good seats. Extremely disappointing as the sound ruined the entire concert for me.

    Worst concert EVER

by MF on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Marc Anthony has been the worst concert I have ever assisted. Not only it lasted 1h20 but half of the time the lights were off, I Kidd you not, he sang a song and then he would turn off the lights for a few minutes. I was expecting so much more, what a waste of money

    Short (professional) show

by Gosha on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

First of all, I paid for the parking which was a nightmare to enter and then to find a spot. They do an unnecessary trunk check (??). Once we entered, after like 40 minutes in line, we accidentally went to the elevator to the Lodges as this was the closest door. The stuff, instead of sending us back and informing us of where we should have taken the right elevator, sent us through an outside entrance. With million of stairs up and it was raining and we left our coats in the car. So basically, I paid $25 for the indoor parking to be walking outside in the rain… Inside, everything was ok. The opening act was a stand up comedian. Its the first time for me to see a comedian as a support act on a concert. The guy was not funny, sorry but his humour was not my cup of tea. Not many ppl were listening to him anyways. Marc Anthony’s concert was professional, as expected. Lots of fun, but the show itself was quite short. Not even 90 mins all together, and that includes many breaks that were in the show for them to discuss the next song I guess? Also, a weird thing to experience. Overall, he was not talking much to the audience, wasn’t connecting much, but the experience was still worth it.

    Déception:(

by Yai on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

Worst show ever from him . The show started 1h late ! Long pauses between each song as he couldn’t continue singing with the light off and everything. He sang less that 1h when you count all the pauses and distractions. I’ve been to other of his concerts and this one was not to Marc Anthony’s standard or expectations!!! Very disappointed and i lost my money on this one

    Disappointed

by Jessica on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

This is the 5th time I’ve seen Marc Anthony and I was very disappointed. He came on stage an hour and 15 late. He let his audience sing too many choruses. I came to hear him sing, not the audience. His guitarist had a 10 minute solo and his drummer as well. That would have been fine if the concert lasted longer than 2 hours however, Marc was only on stage for an hour and 20 minutes. Honestly was not his best work.

    Vraiment mauvais

by Steph on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

La première partie un pseudos Humoriste racisme qui a malmené Les Blanc pendant 30 minutes ! On aurait jamais accepté ce discours sur les noirs ou les arabes par exemple . Inacceptable et insultant . Comment Évengo a pu laisser passer cela !!!!!! Marc Antony pas d’énergie! Un spectacle pauvre à tout les niveaux! Last time for me . Pourtant je l’aime ! C’était la troisième fois que je le voyais . Il y en aura pas quatre

    Para nada lo que esperaba

by Gina on 2022-11-14Centre Bell - Montreal

El humorista muy malo con chistes misóginos, machistas y racistas. Marc no canto mucho, todo el tiempo ponía al público a cantar y muy feo eso de apagar todo por mas de uno o dos minutos entre cada canción.
