No stranger to fronting Queen projects, Marc Martel was handpicked by Roger Taylor and Brian May to front their Queen Extravaganza — the official Queen tribute — since 2012.
Although he’s toured widely and is still involved with the Queen Extravaganza, Martel launched The Ultimate Queen Celebration project in March 2017.
“I get a little more artistic freedom in this show,” Martel said. “I feel like I have a good feel for how Freddy interpreted the music. Later in life, he branched out and did his own things, a few covers and some opera. I’ll pick a couple of songs that I wish Freddy recorded in his lifetime and perform them along with the songs that these legendary artists made famous including ‘Radio Gaga,’ ‘Tie Your Mother Down,’ ‘Fat Bottomed Girls,’ ‘Killer Queen,’ ‘Somebody to Love,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and many more.”

Cannot say enough great things about the show! I’ve seen many legendary bands but never had the chance to see Queen perform live so this was the next best thing. Marc has an amazing voice along with the energy and personality to connect with the audience. Will definitely be looking forward to his next concert!

The show was fabulous!!! My only complaint would be that perhaps Marc needs to let everyone know that they can rock out standing up. Don’t know if it’s the government town we live in but everyone just sat in their seats:( I was expecting us all to be on our feet the whole time.
Marc Martel and his band, Ultimate Queen Experience dilivered a top notch performance. You really felt like you were at a Queen concert and the energy level never died the enter 2+ hours of the show. Not only was Marc's performance above and beyond, but the entire band is incredibly talented, Tristan Avakian (lead guitar) 10 min solo performance is lengendary and he truly "channels" not only Brian May on the guitar, but also David Bowie in his vocals.... would go again to see them anytime.

Marc Martel has an amazing voice, and the overall performance was well done. Our biggest regret was that we couldn’t understand the stories in between songs, which were obviously enjoyable. They were spoken, mostly, in Québécois and I feel we missed out on a key aspect of the overall performance because we couldn’t understand a lot of the background anecdotes. I understand Lac Leamy is in Quebec, but very conveniently located close to Ontario. We paid the same for our tickets as everyone else but we were disappointed the performance didn’t consider the bilingual makeup of the audience.
Really enjoy the show such a good singer. All the band is awesome. If you love Queen you need to see Marc Martel very good entertainer Bravo
