About

Comedian. Actor. Musician. Advocate. Entrepreneur. Five-time Grammy and Emmy nominee.  Margaret Cho's strong voice has been lighting the path for other women, other members of underrepresented groups, other performers, to follow. Her recent television appearances - guest star on Season 2 of The Flight Attendant (HBO Max), guest star on Season 2 of Hacks (HBO Max) and two Netflix is a Joke comedy specials: Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration and Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin: Ladies Night Live - have expanded an already wide-ranging career, and her role as the 'mother hen' in the well-reviewed movie Fire Island solidifies why we all love Margaret in the first place.

As a comedian Margaret has been named one of Rolling Stone magazine's 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time, one of Vogue magazine's Top 9 Female Comedians of all time, while CNN chose her as one of the 50 People Who Changed American Comedy.  Thankfully, Margaret has more stories to tell, and her production company, Animal Family Productions, has multiple scripted shows in development for 2022 and beyond.

    Not Funny

Not Funny at all. She was to gross. Take away the swearing and she would be silent

    Margaret Cho is amazing!

    by HJP6 on 2013-11-11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I've loved Cho for years, so I'm so glad I went to see her perform on my birthday! Her humour is as raunchy as ever, but filled with truths about life. Power to us bi chicks!! Props to her for keeping minutes in a show that was 90 min straight.

All the guests and the host were great. Apparently my review needs to be a minimum length which is annoying so blah blah blah blah blah

Margaret Cho & friends - funny, if slightly short

by VanBrian on 2013-02-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I've seen M. Cho before and have her stand up DVDs. She's a very funny woman. With a great take on queer politics and society in general. Her talents have branched out into singing and playing guitar and she is no slouch at either. Not all the material was new, and that's ok. But the show started at 8 - ish. and finished at 9.35 and that included the support acts, who took up 25-30 mins. They were also very funny. The show could be very bawdy and crude at times so if that's not your taste, stay away. She is becoming this generation's answer to Bill Hicks and that is very welcome indeed. The big screen with a close up of her face above her was welcome as she does so many great facial expressions, those in the cheaper seats would have missed some of the laughs without it.

    Margret Cho

by clcaron on 2013-02-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Average show, predictable, but still funny. Crowd was into it. Probably better served to have her perform in Vancouver during Pride. She'd be able to fill a couple of times.

Margaret Cho On A (Sushi) Roll

by mmichiela on 2013-02-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Margaret Cho did what she does best, raunchy LBGT humour. Had the crowd right where she wanted them, eating out of her hand. Loved it! The Wet Spots were awesome too!

    Fantastic

by LegendX on 2012-02-21The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Margaret Cho still has it! Crude and loud as always she adds to the female comic category and defines a true voice without fear of reprimand. If you have the opportunity check her out!

    Cheeky!

by blackhead on 2012-02-21The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

She's outrageous but that's why I want to see her. One of the highlights is when she showed off her body tattoos; all over and behind. Funny as hell and cheeky.

I have now seen her three times. Her latest show is not as good as the others. Her material was not new in that you can hear similiar things at a late night bar when everyone is drunk. But I did get some laughs out of the show

    funny but filthy

by Barron on 2012-02-21The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

This is the third time I have seen Margaret, I was a little disappointed she didn't get a bit political what with all the nonsense going on. And was it me or has she just gotten so filthy? Still laughed my head of though.

She did 15 min with her pants around her knees

by Bigandhuge on 2012-02-21The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Enough said. Margret Cho was amazing. Running time for the price of the ticket is the only reason why this isn't a higher rating. 60 min set for a main act is very steep for the price.

    Margaret Nation!

by skippyboi on 2010-12-05Massey Hall - Toronto

This was my third time seeing Margaret. The woman deserves our money. She makes us laugh at every turn. This time out, I was at a bit of a disadvantage in that I had not seen her on Dancing with the stars, but, nonetheless, she always makes me laugh. Not for puritans, but, def for me! Marry me Margaret!
