A few hiccups at the door. Sorted by the volunteer staff quickly. Martin sexton is a gift of music to anyone that hears him. I took my girl for the first time and she loved it from start to finish. What a showman. I have seen him every time he’s been to wpg and will see him every time he comes back. Was a highlight of the year!!
Love Martin Sexton. Can't wait until he's back again.

Seeing and hearing Martin Sexton again was an absolute delight. His guitar playing I was tremendous, his humour infectious, and overall, his warm personality shone through. He seemed to enjoy himself as much as the audience. Thanks to the Winnipeg Folk Festival for inviting Martin back to town, and to the West End Cultural Centre for being the perfect intimate location for this event.
Great venue. Not a our seat in the place intimate setting. Made for a more personal and up close experience with the performer.

Well, what to write about one of the most talented men on earth........ This show impressed me from the moment he walked out with his humble grace. Every single song had the audience in complete silence. You just didnt want to miss one guitar strum or one beautiful word that left his mouth. The only disappointment is that its over!!!!
Honestly...did you expect less? This incredible balladeer puts his heart, and so much more, into every song! You have to love the way the crowd reacts to him...singing with him, harmonizing, clapping and snapping fingers. He so deserves the dedicated following he has. Imagine coming to Winnipeg when its "about 3000 degrees below zero...is that Fahrenheit or Celsius?" Timbre in his voice is fantastic. The way he personalizes his songs for the moment is priceless. This guy is really thinking about what he's doing. He funny and warm to the crowd. Even his screw ups (only one I could detect) were endearing! He just gets better every time I see him. This guy is all about being who you are and feeling good about it. He hits the highs and lows beautifully. His Godin guitar is like a very good friend to him. One noticeable change with Martin was that he sounded just that bit more "jazzy" than previous concerts and that suits him very well!. Its been incredible watching his transitions as a performer. Love it all and love to Martin! You are amazing man!! Winnipeg loves you!!
