    Good music - short show

by Anonymous on 2010-05-30Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Great sounds coming from the stage but the show was way to short for the price of the ticket.

    GORGEOUS!!!

by Zixie on 2010-05-30Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

It was cold. It was drizzly. It was almost 2 hours of supergroove! I loved this show. The band was tight and the unique and stimulating visuals helped to create a sophisticated vibe. The tickets were a bit pricey and I'm a chronic complainer but I've got nothing bad to say about this show. I'd pay the $70 again. Happily. Instantly. Soooooo good!

    Massive in the rain

by DJShoes on 2010-05-30Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Great show from the Bristol massive. Poured with rain throughout, somewhat subduing the crowd, but a realy good show all the same. The sound was excellent and the group put on a good show with a real cross-section of the repertoire.

    Best show I have seen

    by AJ513 on 2010-05-30Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

I came to this show with high expectations, and I had them beat. The only negative was the rain, which no one had control over. The sound was great, the set was fantastic, and the performance was perfect.

The rain added to the Massive Attack experience!

by RosieTG on 2010-05-30Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

While the venue gets negative star ranking, the actual performance of Massive Attack was brilliant! The light display and the sound was awesome, and made the fact that you were standing in a mud bowl in the middle of Stanley Park, while Vancouver rain fell on you like a dusting of icing sugar for the entire concert actually quite mystic and somewhat pleasant.

    WOW!!!

by AshleyMcG on 2010-05-13Sound Academy - Toronto

What an amazing show! Everything about it was great...awesome mix of songs, the light show was great, the crowd was totally into it! Everyone in the group performed which really made this feel almost like a festival as opposed to one show! I can only hope they'll be back again soon!!!!

    Massive Attack were massive.

by gtrman on 2010-05-11Sound Academy - Toronto

From beginning till the end just a musical and visual assault to the senses. Big fan first time seeing them and wouldn't hesitate to go again. Rarely does a musical act entertain and provoke so much thought about so many issues.

    WoW

by Knell on 2010-05-11Sound Academy - Toronto

This show was recommended to me by a friend who said, "you have to see them live. It's like the best sex you have ever had!" It was easily one of the best shows I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing!

    Massive Attack Sunday concert

by Kolya on 2010-05-11Sound Academy - Toronto

The wait was well worth it. What an amazing performance. Nice blend of their old and new music. Hadn't been to Sound Academy since it was known as the Docks. I was impressed with the upgrades and the quality of the sound. A perfect evening

Great band! awesome music! the only problem was that it was supposed to start at 8 O'clock but we had to wait untill 10 for the band to start performing. Other than that, it was amazing. oh and beer was too expensive ;)

First time to see Massive Attack..... and WOW! What a show. The vocals, sound, bass, lights, and the charisma of the group combined for a great auditory and visual experience. The light show was perfect! Great mix of songs, new and classics. Will definately check Massive Attack again. by the way Martina Topley Bird was a great opening act, sang with Massive during their show, and is talented and charming. Wonderful!

    Loved the set

by KUBAJA on 2010-05-10Sound Academy - Toronto

The opening act (Martina) was a snore, she seemed like she was all over the place. It felt like it was taking forever for the band to get on stage because of that. When she sang with Massive Attack she was A LOT better. Otherwise, great show, the set was amazing (with the screens and lights) and loved the tracks sung.

    The future of Music

    by Mr17Moir on 2010-05-09Sound Academy - Toronto

Massive Attack in a small venue - just amazing!! Why aren't they playing large venues? this is a band that needs to be discovered by the uneducated masses. They sound what music will sound like in the future, just they are doing it today. It's hard to classify their style & they certainly sound better live than any recording - it really is an experience. I've been going to concerts longer than the average age of the attendees at the show and this is a highlight. The set-list could be a little longer, they left some gems in the cupboard but I would have been happy with a 30 minute show - they were that good. Great mix of sounds on the set-list - would definitely see them again.
