  • Mat Kearney more then I expected!

by IslandFan on 2009-11-03Venue - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Haven't been to to many live shows in such an intimate setting before, it was fantastic! Refreshingly sounds as good in person as he does on his albums. Connection with audience outstanding, my wife said "she had a moment" she felt as if he was singing to her, a testament to his connection with his audience. My wife wasn't a fan of his music before the concert, but she left as one. Keep it up!

Mat Kearney was amazing. A great performer and The Venue was awesome. Also, Vedera is a really good band.

Excellent venue and excellent sound - Matt Kearney puts on an excellent show. The opening act Vereda was excellent as well - watch out for the lead singer she is an up and comer for sure

  • Simply Amazing

by BigSexeeKC on 2009-11-02Venue - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Mat Kearney just blew me away. The man can really sing, truly play and is a great entertainer. He customized his show ever so much with his own verse specifically for Vancouver and left the audience is awe & shock... His show is low key but professional - and the band was tight in their playing. His small and initmate show put to shame another BIG name-band that I saw recently & was highly disappointed. Seriously - he is simply amazing! Don't miss out on seeing him - you will NOT be disappointed!

  • Great concert

Mat Kearney was very entertaining and sounded even better live than on his cd which is rare. Highly recommend if you get a chance to see him.

  • Best Small Venue show I've seen

by alidoodle on 2009-11-02Venue - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Mat Kearney put on an amazing show. Certainly didn't disappoint me. His energy and enthusiasm was evident the whole night. Vedera (Opening act) was also very good. I would love for him to come back.

  • Mat Kearney / Diane Birtch concert

by MyHonestReview on 2009-10-08Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great performance by Mat and the Toronto fans ate it up - he's sounding more and more like Chris Martin (even sounds like he sings with an accent). The true revelation (not so much to me because I'm already a huge fan) was the opener, Diane Birch. She was luminous and absolutely gorgeous sonically and visually. What a wicked piano player.

Mat Kearney put on a fantastic show! I really enjoyed the intimate setting at Lee's Palace. Both Mat Kearney and Diane Birch were entertaining and a thrill to watch. I would definitely go to another Mat Kearney show!

  • Kearney delivers

by EtobicokeToronto on 2009-10-06Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Matt Kearney is an outstanding performer. I have new appreciation for his new album ... although Nothiong to Lose is a much better piece of work. I still believe he should return to his roots of mixing genres -- that is what separates him from other singer-sonwriters.

  • Mat Kearney @ Lee's Palace

by Crodon on 2009-10-06Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This bloke is Epic!... Saw him last night at Lee's Palace. The event provides the perfect intimate setting, with a great view from just about anywhere in the joint. Mat put on a solid performance, great voice, presence, and support from the rest of the band. I saw him open for Keane back in May at the Sound Dock's (had never really heard much of him and bought tickets the second I heard he was coming back to TO.

I was a fan before going to the show but I am a big fan now. Mat put on a great live show and his band is amazing.

    by KA73 on 2009-10-06Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was expecting great things from Mat when I purchase my tickets and he delivered. He is very personable with a good sense of humour and his sound was spot on. Diane Birch was an impressive opening act and I'll definitely be looking for her music. Props to the sound crew for doing it up right in a small venue, and to Mat for making it a night I'll remember!

  • Matt Kearney is INCREDIBLE!!!

Fabulous show...if you have a chance to see him do not miss the opportunity!!

  • AGAIN! Mat was fantastic. Better as a headliner!

by Allygatorpie on 2009-10-06Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I went to Mat's concert in May when he opened for Keane and he was outstanding. The guy can sing (note for note like his album) but he has fun doing it and mixes it up. He even threw in a little "Ontario" reference for the crowd. Speaking of the crowd, a great moment was when he got down with everyone and sang. Mat introduced a friend who was on stage playing guitar (great acoustic for one song as well)...i missed his name but he had a BLAST out there and rocked every song!

  • In love with Mat

by Sonata on 2009-10-06Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Mat did not disappoint. Show seemed a little late starting but was well worth it. He's got an amazing voice - nothing fake about this guy. His sense of humour and talent are fantastic and his band was awesome.

  • Diane Birch!

by CanadaJeff on 2009-10-06Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We went to see the opener, Diane Birch. She is an absolutely amazing singer-songwriter who put on a tremendous show. Go get her CD, best I've heard this year. I'm sure Mat Kearney was good too, but I didn't stay.
