Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, theMatt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.
Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.
In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV'sWild 'N Outas the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot ofTRLand appearing onThe Challenge. Other credits includeBrooklyn Nine-Nine,Fresh Off The Boat, BET'sNorth Of The 10, and NBC's comedy competition showBring The Funny.
In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, "Only Fans". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, "Matthew Steven Rife" on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.
Drove 4 hours there and back in a snow storm, and it was worth it! My very first comedy show experience, and the boys did not disappoint. Great time!
It was a great show. Definitely worth it to come see Matt’s performance in live. Great opening performance from other comedians.
The show was awesome! The openers were great and Matt was excellent. The wit and sassiness were so perfectly balanced. I did the meet and greet and he’s one of the nicest people. He took the time to chat with everyone and seemed genuinely interested in what you had to say. I travelled 4 hours (each way) to see the show and I would 100% do it again!
Was my first comedy show and it was amazing from the opening acts to Matt there wasn’t a dull moment 10/10 would recommend seeing the show
I bought one ticket for myself to celebrate my birthday. Go see and support him if you haven’t already. I had the opportunity to meet him in person and all I have to say is that he is the sweetest person. I wish him all the best! I received a signed poster and best of all, a hug from Matt Rife. I have a picture of him and I to look back at and remember my experience. He has a great sense of humor and he cares about his audience. We love you Matt! Xoxo
I had an awesome time seeing him! I will definitely go back when I get the chance!
You might or might not get the pun from the title! It was an 18+ show and my daughter just turned 18, so it was our first outing out together in her new role as an adult! Matt was stupendously funny, even though we were at his second show of the evening! Immensely enjoyed every second of the show!!!! He definitely did not disappoint! So thrilled that his genie came through for him!!! If you build it they will come and they certainly did with all the sold out shows!!!! Congrats Matt!!!! You deserve every fantabulous thing that comes your way!!!! He is extremely personable! Went to the venues staffs entry/exit door, after the show, and waited for a while, about an hour, and was blessed to meet Matt! He was kind and friendly with each and every person who was there, about 30 of us. Traded his hat with 1. Made a few videos for a few and took selfies with whom ever wanted 1. Definitely made my year!!! Thanx for the fantabulous memories Matt!!!
Matt did not disappoint! His two opening acts were also tremendous. Trying to get out of the parkade from the 7pm show while the 10pm folks were trying to get in was incredibly frustrating but we got through it. Can't wait for Matt to come back through again in the future.
Amazing show from start to finish! Kept us laughing the whole time!!! It was so worth the 5 hour drive to see it.
This show was so amazing! I have been to the Burt many times but never in the second balcony. It was a lot of steps to get up there (65!) but it was worth it. They had bench seats and we ended up getting a set of two to ourselves. It was great! The seats were actually pretty comfy as well! As for the show, he was absolutely hilarious and I would go to see him over and over again. =)
Matt Rife was so good. Not only did we laugh the entire time, he made it comfortable like we were all just hanging out at a friend’s house. Highly recommend. The venue on the other hand was very unorganized and took so long to check tickets and open doors. We were all crammed in a small area before theatre doors were open so we could find our seats. Doors only opened 30 mins before the show and took around 20 at least to get in and we were standing very close to the front of the line.
There was not on minute of the show that I was not laughing, I have seen so many comedy shows and this was the best one ever , I would go again and again forever a fan 🙌🙌🙌
What a great night. The first act, Alex was great! The second act Jackson was not mine or my group's favorite. We do think Alex should have gotten more opening act time. Matt Rife did not disappoint. We all had muscle cramps from laughing so much.
It was funny but not as funny as he normally is, so I was disappointed. I mean he didn't even pick on the audience, only one person so that was sad he's funny when he picks on people that's what makes him so funny. if he didn't do that because of the complaints from before people need to get a life, he's a comedian that's what they do and if you don't like it stay home.
My bestie and I left the kids at home and were ready for some controversial laughter. My face hurt at the end from laughing so much. I was a little skeptical - social media and all. But Matt did NOT disappoint. He is legit funny! And gorgeous. Too bad I’m not 65+. lol
Matt Rife was above and beyond my expectations. I'd go to his shows over and over if I could actually get tickets! Best night I've had at a comedy show in a long time! 🔥
Matt Rife was awesome. He is hilarious. I had VIP meet and greet and he seems like a genuinely nice guy too. The opening acts were also really good.
Was an amazing show brought in the dirty 40s with so much laughter hit your show in Edmonton Friday night for the b-day laugh for an hour straight haha 😆 guts were sore lol 😂 also have a safe tour Play safe
Didn't watch any specials because I was worried sometimes you watch a set and find out it's the set the comedian was doing for the show ruining the whole show. Had no idea what Matt's comedy was like outside of his viral clips of his crowd work and his sets were hilarious! Can't wait until he comes back! MUST SEE!
Amazing show! My cheeks hurt from laughing so much! Matt killed it!
