    Wow!!

by shack on 2010-06-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The perfomers were amazing, the staging was perfectly minimal. We enjoyed it enormously. I would go again myself and would recommend it for everyone my age......even the men...if they are brave enough.

    Menopause out loud

by ajfe on 2010-06-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I thought the players were fantastic and very entertaining. If I had heard the other 60% of the words in the songs it would have warranted 5 stars. The sound system was terrible. It was disappointing because I bet someone spent many many hours changing the words to those songs. The players delivered them as well as they could.

Menopause Out Loud was a RIOT!!!

by 2hotflashes on 2010-06-18The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I really enjoyed the musical. All the songs the 4 ladies sang were upbeat and took us back to our youth...the good old days no matter what decade it was. The ladies each brought a uniqueness to the performances and each one worked very well with the other. Their voices were fantastic and the story lines were put together excellently and each one was funnier than the next one. All in all it was a great experience for me and my girlfriend and we just laughed out guts out. It was awesome entertainment, one we won't soon forget!

    Menopause Out Loud

This is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. Saw it one year ago in Nevada and enjoyed it so much that when I saw it was coming to Vancouver, I just had to see it again. The four women have lovely voices and their comic timing is A one. I went with a gentleman, he enjoyed it immensely -- it is not just for women!

One of the women had an absolutely amazing voice - when she sang it really moved me ... the others were (to coin a phrase) "pitchy" and somewhat mediocre. Given that it was a musical and that good looks and great bodies weren't a requirement, having all 4 women with incredible, drop dead voices would have made the production. Otherwise it was cute, relevant and a good laugh but I wouldn't recommend you run out and buy a ticket.

It was so funny and I would love to buy a CD of the songs. If that is possible I would love to know how to get it. All women approaching this lovely age should go see it. It gives the woord Menopause a whole new meaning!!

    menopause was full of laughs

by malhst on 2010-06-17The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

It was very clever to use familiar tunes with new words, we were all humming along. The humour was great, a laugh a minute, great to see this subject made funny instead of sweeping it under the carpet as used to be done.

    Menopause Out Loud was LOL

by Mima on 2010-06-17The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I had seen Menopause - The Musical - in Palm Desert earlier this year and vowed to take my daughter and daughter-in-law (in their late 30's)if it ever came to Vancouver. So I did along with two girlfriends of mine (60+) and we enjoyed it immensely! It shed a lot of light to two young women who, perhaps in later years, will be able to laugh about their "issues"!

Great show. Think that every woman who thinks she might be menopausal show see this. The cool lyrics of the songs were fantastic. Looked good to see a few understanding males throughout the audience. Fabulous girls night out.

very clever and funny. I wasn't expecting a straight run without an intermission. A bit pricey for the length of the show.

    Disappointing!

by Anonymous on 2010-06-16The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I was expecting a lot more from this show. I found the sound quality lacking, it was very difficult to understand what the performers were singing and as this is a big part of what the show is about it was disappointing.

Menopause Out Loud - family hit

by VancouverIdolfan on 2010-06-16The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I purchased two tickets for my mother and mother-in-law and they thoroughly enjoyed the show and said they laughed from beginning to end. The performers were fantastic and the tunes were very recognizable and cleverly adapted. They remarked that it was a funny take about a very real subject. Big thumbs up! Note - no intermission but the 90 minutes flew by.
