Miami Dolphins History
The Miami Dolphins are the oldest continuous major-league professional sports franchise in the state of Florida. Founded by Joe Robbie in 1965, they began play in the American Football League as an expansion team in 1966, then joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. The team has made 24 playoff appearances, won 13 division titles, five AFC championships, and two Super Bowl championships. The 1972 Dolphins are the only fully undefeated team in NFL history, finishing the year 17-0 with a victory in Super Bowl VII.
The Miami Dolphins have 17 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including greats such as Larry Csonka, Bob Griese, Dan Marino, and Jason Taylor. Three Dolphins have had their jerseys retired: Csonka's number 39, Griese's number 12 and Marino's number 13.

Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium
The Dolphins play home games in Miami Gardens at Hard Rock Stadium. Originally opened in 1987 as Joe Robbie Stadium, Hard Rock Stadium is a global entertainment destination that also serves as home to the University of Miami football team. Hard Rock Stadium also hosts the annual Orange Bowl, and has played host to major sporting events such as Super Bowl LIV.
With a capacity of 64,767, the stadium completed a $500 million renovation project in 2016 that included the replacement of every seat in the stadium, and the addition of Field Club, North Sideline Club and corner terraces.

The Miami Dolphins’ 2023 regular season kicks off in September at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, when the Dolphins face off against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dolphins play their final game of the regular season at home against their AFC East rivals the Buffalo Bills. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

The Miami Dolphins have reached the Super Bowl championship five times, winning back-to-back titles at Super Bowl VII (1973) and Super Bowl VIII (1974). The Dolphins have the only undefeated season in NFL history, going 14-0 in the 1972 season and culminating in a 14-7 victory over the then Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII.
If you get the chance to attend a Dolphin game, TAKE IT!! The whole experience is a great time, even if you're not a football fan! The NFL does is up right and when mixed in with the Miami weather, its an unforgettable day! Be sure to come early to take in the pregame festivities! Highly recommended!!
Everything was great, from the organized parking lot thru the game time experience. The rows of seats are a bit too close (only 5.8 and my knees were hitting the cupholder) and they are in need of replacement, but this did not detract from the game. All staff were very friendly and it was nice to see you could cheer for either team (unlike Philly or Oakland). Easy to get to and find the stadium. The parking was well worth it. Cheerleaders were fantastic and nice to see the huge signs giving you instructions on how to report an unruly fan..truly a friendly and family experience.
We had amazing seats, 28 rows from the end zone. We missed the first quarter because getting into the parking lot was a nightmare, but the Dolphins made up for that with an overtime win! The stadium staff were fantastic at keeping things moving and everyone we encountered was very polite and courteous. Found out the hard way you cannot take your purse into the game ( had to trek back to the car about 10 miles!...exaggerating)... But other than that the night was amazing! The fan club Fns kept everyone excited and making noise! LOVED it!
Hi I really liked the show but the best of all was Mr Bush jumping all around to win an extra yard...Go Dolphins Go
Great venue, excellent weather. NFL football in Miami is an excellent experience... Specially if the home team wins because the crowd was in it all the way through!

Went to the game against the Bills and it was more than I was hoping for. Miami did everything right, including a blocked punt for a touchdown. Dolphins have turned season around. Too bad it will ultimately harm their chances to land a franchise QB.
Newly arrived to south florida it was my first NFL game I've attended. It was a lot of fun, had a really good time. Everybody seated around us were great, party time.
Fantastic game - Great entertainment..Just a dissapointing end if your a Dol-Fan.. NFL MUST do a better job of creating more family friendly environments though - through more aggressive approach to unruly, profane, intoxicated fans - puts a damper on the enxperience.. Alcohol free and family friendly areas are very much needed..
Awesome experience. Any dolphin fan should come down to the game no matter what part of the world you live in. It is a once in a lifetime experience. i was fortunate to watch a fabulous game.
This was the 3rd time I have been in Miami to see the Dolphins and the first time I have seen them win at home and it was even better to see them beat the Pats!

After my expensive trip to Atlanta to watch the Dolphins horrible performance, it was pleasant to be able to watch them back in Miami, and my first Monday Night Football experience. Unfortunately the Dolphins lost (so I still have never seen them win), but it was an incredible night out. We played really well (except defence of course) and it went down to a nailbiting finish. The atmosphere was incredible and it had all the feeling of a play-off encounter. They put on a really good show outside (gates F-H) with a carnival feel. Games, bands, bars, music, all that kind of stuff. Although the stadium is in the middle of nowhere, they at least make an effort down here in Miami so if you're spending the whole afternoon tailgating there's always something to do. On the downside -- holy hell this place is a rip-off. $12 for a can of Heineken? I don't remember what the other beers and food cost because I was drunk, but it was a lot. I think this is one of the more expensive stadiums I've been to. Overall, a great event, and I'm looking forward to the next Monday Night game against the Jets in a few weeks time :)
The game was great. Atmosphere was fantastic....and the Colts beating the Dolphins at home......priceless!!!
Wow what a great game!!! great seats!!! the fellow that showed us to our seats was GREAT. The security people were a little ridiculas(heavy handed) The night was great entertainment was fantastic. The only thing that would have made the night better. The Fins winning This was a trip of a lifetime!!!!!!!!!!
