Lord of the Dance- Dangerous Games was awesome!

by Sweetfeet on 2018-07-15The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

I simply loved it! I’ve always enjoyed Michael Flatley’s version of Riverdance. My only regret is that Michael Flatley didn’t perform live in it, but just seeing him perform for a few minutes was worth the price of admission!

    No Flatley anymore but OK

by Oleksandr on 2018-07-15The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

It is OK but without Flatley it is just not the same. You will see him briefly though.

    Fantastic!

by Faby on 2012-04-07Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

I really enjoyed the performance but would have liked to see a brand new theme. It had the exact same theme as their previous Tour. I was very disappointed with their Program. I purchased it to give to my parents because they were unable to come with us because my mother broke her hip. When I got home and looked at it, it was the same program (pictures and all) of their last Tour! What a disappointment and a rip off!

    Not even close to Riverdance.

by xman0204 on 2012-03-05Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Don't get me wrong, the dancers are athletes and were exceptional. This is the second time I have seen Lord of the Dance but this version looked more like a raunchy American take on Irish dance that better belongs in a low budget Las Vegas hotel. The costumes were silly, and cheap and looked like they had been purchased at a Halloween store. The dance routines were old and uninspiring. Virtually all of the music is recorded and blasted out the speakers. There was virtually no Irish connection with the exception of the dance style. The stage was cheap and the graphics were horrible. I brought three of my children to this show. At one point, the dancers tear off their dresses to their underwear. At another point silhouettes of dancers, reminiscent of a strip club, appear on the screens. This show should have come with a PG13 rating. I will never waste my time on Lord of the Dance again!

    Somewhat let down

by justmy2cents on 2012-03-02Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton, AB

If I could have given this show a rating out of '10', I would have given it 6.5. The performance was good, even spectacular at times, but not all I had hoped for. There were 4 people in our party and 3 of us felt that the male dancers, especially the Lead, were EXCELLENT. The girls, on the other hand, were out of sync on occasion, and it detracted from the Show. My husband saw "Riverdance " and preferred it much more to LOTD. He thought that this was a little too "Vegas-sy". I'm not sorry that we went, but I did expect more.

    Spectacular!

by Artemis on 2012-03-02Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

I loved the show. Although Michael Flatley is not in it anymore, his protégé was great and very lovable! My only complaint would be that they had no brochure, no hand outs, nothing to tell me about different parts, times, breaks, name of people, etc. I guess I would have enjoyed one, but even so the show was awesome and I loved it! Will definitely go again if given the chance.

Its been around for awhile, but seeing it for the first time live was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone who has yet to see it in person.

Lord of the Dance was exciting !!!

by Taog on 2012-02-28Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

The performance was awesome. Was disappointed that Michael Flatley was not performing. The lead man copied all Michael's moves perfectly. Seemed the stage was a bit small. The costumes were bright and lively. The music was very well suited for the performances. The ending was amazing, so much so that one just wanted it to continue on for a while more ! It was a very memorable show. Look forward to when they come again. Would not miss it for anything.

Overall my wife and I enjoyed the event but the scene in which the females stripped off their dresses to be just in bra and panties should not have been included.

    WOW

by stretch on 2012-02-28Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

I am amazed everytime I see this troupe. They are amazing. I get tired watching them. Such precision, always smiles on the dancers faces. The soloist and violinists were wonderful as well. All around an A+ perfomance
