Passes are highly recommended for music lovers!

by Zaboomafoo on 2011-09-13Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

We enjoyed all of the concerts in the pass. I actually like the grass seats as it is very casual and people sitting near you will strike up conversations. We were issued seats for three concerts as attendance was low. The only complaints I have are with the amphitheatre security. One guy was like a nazi and he attacked anyone who pulled out a camera. Cameras are normally allowed there, but for some reason they decided they would not be for this concert. Anyways, he shined his flash light on people an yelled at them constantly throughout the show. It was very distracting and we missed a lot of the music. Another time, I could not see over the heads of the people in front of me and I was getting a sore neck. Eventually I asked to be reseated and I was told there was no room. So I spent the evening staring at the back of some guy's neck. Finally, they never let people stand up and dance. Especially in front of the stage where they are not in anyone's way. It is starting to feel like Casino Rama where the audience sits like a bunch of zombies...

    Mega Pass a worthy investment

by Chrisser46 on 2011-09-13Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

I did not attend all of the shows but I did see enough to make my $99.00 ticket worthwhile. It was a simple easy process and the concerts were fantastic. Love outdoor events!!!! I would/will purchase again next year.

Journey & Foreigner, Def Leppard, Supertram, Bachman & Turner, Paul Rodgers, shows were awesome. Jimmy Buffett show was awesome. Crowd's wardrobe was sight to see. Beer was expensive. Limited varieties of juices available for sale. And food were expensive.

    steely dan was memory music

by cleomeister on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

the best part of this mega pass was the low price to some of the best in rock music. to see them many years later was amazing, so many grew up with them. the mix of bands was neat, although i'm not jimmy buffet fan, i got to see him, and the people who love him. although steely dan and supertramp were my favorite, i enjoyed the music and comraderie of all the bands. now that people are aware of this wonderful event and passing the info onto to others it will be a bigger success next year. one extra comment: please send a email for each concert date, i managed to miss 2. thanks

Some great acts included in this package. Supertramp was a huge highlight. Bachman-Turner was great as well, and who could complain about Steely Dan or Peter Frampton? Glad I got the package for my partner and myself.

It was definitely worthwhile to get the Mega Pass. Would love it if the Ampitheatre does it again next year! Would buy it and have told people who are interested in it too if it comes up for next summer.

    Megapass

by Anonymous on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

For the first concert we attended, the staff did not know where to send us to get the passes and when we did get them, the staff did not seem to know it was lawn access only. When I purchased them I also did not realize that the access was lawn only, or I probably would not have purchased the pass at all. For the last concert, the staff was equally confused. There was no advance warning that chairs were not allowed and we were turned away because of this, only to walk about one mile back to my car to put the chairs away. To get our actual tickets for the seats for the final concert, we were instructed to go to customer service but no-one advised us of which customer service desk so we wandered around for a while before we figured it out. All in all, I think the staff needs a little more training/instruction before these events.

    Excellent

by Concertgoer1234 on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

The concerts were all great. The were all a blast from the past. Supertramp was a must see for many years and finally saw them and enjoyed every song. Jimmy Buffett played to the older Tye dye crowd and heard the hits, Poison and Motley Crue were weak instrumentally but since I never went to a hair band concert before went for the crowd. Foreigner was Fun to watch, Journey missed Steve Perry for sure. Peter Frampton is one of the best guitar players ever and proved it. Def Leppard and Heart was the best concert of the series as the both literary rocked the house. Unfortunately missed Steely Dan. Bachman & Turner with Paul Rodgers was extremely good. Blue Rodeo was nice to see even if it rained. Would do it again!!!!

    Mega pass = good value

by TorontoRock on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Enjoyed the Mega pass this year - never been a "lawn" person but realized you can have fun up there as well as in the stands. Went to see good shows that I other wise would not have gone too - very good value for the money spent!

    Excellent Value

by toscotty on 2011-09-12Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

For 99.00 plus service charge the Mega Pass could not be a better value for your money. I went to 8 of the 9 shows included and I enjoyed all of them The beauty of this pass is that I went to see acts that I would not normally consider going to. Peter Frampton falls into this catagory for me and I must say Peter Frampton was excellent, he played for close to 3 hours with a short intermission. And better yet my lawn seats were upgraded to 200 level seats at no charge! Jimmy Buffet is another example of an artist I would not normally go to see, good show and even better people watching experience, gotta love those "parrot heads". The only negative part of the Mega Pass was that it was not available prior to the first show (Supertramp) which forced me to line up for about 60 minutes and I missed part of the show. Hopefully if ticketmaster offers the same deal again next year they'll have the ticket ready in advance.
