Montreal Canadiens History
With an NHL-record 24 Stanley Cup Championships, eight conference championships, 24 division titles, and a Hall of Fame contingent of more than 50 players and more than a dozen coaches and executives, the Canadiens have an unrivaled pedigree.
The team, founded in 1909 as part of the National Hockey Association (forebear to the NHL), won its first Stanley Cup Championship in 1916. Behind legendary center Howie Morenz, Montreal added championships in 1924, 1930 and 1931. The latter two titles came at the Montreal Forum, the arena they would call home for 70 years. In 1942 the league was reduced to six teams; the Candiens were selected as one of the remaining teams to form the “Original Six” and the foundation of the league we know today.
With eventual Hall of Fame right wing Maurice ("Rocket") Richard anchoring the "Punch Line" with Elmer Lach and Toe Blake, the Canadiens won a Stanley Cup Championship in 1944 and '46. Blake would return as head coach in the next decade, piloting them to five consecutive Stanley Cup Championships between 1956 and 1960. The Canadiens won four more Stanley Cup Championships in the 1960s (three under Blake).
Sparked by future Hall of Famers such as Guy Lafleur, Ken Dryden and Larry Robinson, the Habs earned six Stanley Cup Championships in the 1970s — five with Scotty Bowman at the helm. Bowman would go on to become the winningest coach in NHL history.
The Canadiens won six division championships and three conference titles and made the Playoffs every year in the 1980s, adding one Stanley Cup Championship to their resumé when they defeated the Calgary Flames to close out the 1985-1986 season behind the goaltending of rookie Patrick Roy. They returned to the Finals in 1993, again behind Roy, to beat the Los Angeles Kings.

Since 1996, the Montreal Canadiens have played their home games at the Bell Centre, originally known as the Molson Centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the Bell Centre has a capacity of 21,105 for hockey games, making it the largest ice hockey arena in the world.
The Montreal Canadiens’ 2023–24 regular season kicks off in October at Scotiabank Arena, when the Canadiens face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Canadiens have made 35 appearances in the Stanley Cup Final, and have won the Stanley Cup 24 times (in 1916, 1924, 1930, 1931, 1944, 1946, 1953, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1986 and 1993) — the most out of any NHL team.

From beginning to end the game was awesome! Our seats selected were great and there were many choices to purchase tickets! Lineups were minimal at the Bell Center and staff was very welcoming. I would definitely go back! Best game ever!
It was a great event, with nice surprises! Very entertaining and I was very pleased.
My favourite NHL arena. Great atmosphere. Always loud and great crowd energy after every goal scored by the Canadiens. High tempo music and great organist playing the old classics. Everything at Bell Centre is better than the atmosphere at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

The most impressive part was the free trio per person. The kids had a blast. Too bad not all concessions were open. The kids really wanted some timbits.
only 5$ taxes and fees included plus they gave us a free lunch. It was a really fun familly outing. I hope they will do it again next year.

Anytime I go see the Canadiens live at the Bell Center, it is always the best time. The atmosphere is amazing! Great team to see with amazing players. Go Habs Go!
It was fun the seats were great and the game was great thanks to everyone for buying the tickets
Loved the event itself, nice way to meet the players before the season officially kicks off. The down side, there was only 1 place to claim the free coupons for free sandwiches, and as a parent of 3 young boys (one in stroller) I would have to wait 30 min in line for a free sandwich. It was even very difficult to pass by that section with the kids... Having few spots would unload the traffic (which I guess is a common thing in Montreal). Also the public transport to Bell center from the west island is a pain in the a... :) I know it has nothing to do with your event, as I mentioned earlier, it was great, but makes you realize that any event downtown are always a huge hassle for people with young kids living in the suburbs. Great to see the crowd being able to cheer for every play since both sides are the home team! The $5 which included a trio was a great offering... though the plastic sandwiches somehow felt less healthy than a hot dog would have been! ha.
Bought the tickets in record time, I got the e-mails right away and had no problem whatsoever to get in the event. I will 100% do business with Ticketmaster again.
Our seats were incredible for the price , the atmosphere is fun. The game wasn’t very good as well and overall I had a great experience.

The date of the tickets sell were not advised properly and very difficult to do because could only be done on your mobile. The food distribution was a chaos waited 1 hour to get the free trio...
