This was one of the most fabulous events I have been to in a very long time. When are they returning as I will most definitely make arrangements to attend again.

Incredible stamina as the choir stood 2 hours for an amazing performance. I love the choir , but this surpassed my highest expectations! Loved the orchestra and bells as well!

    Amazing Concert!

by CanadianCousin on 2018-07-03Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir's concert on Saturday night was absolutely fabulous! The approx. 300 voices sang in absolute synchronization so that you could hear every word they sang. The program selection was wonderful and included not only traditional sacred music, both old and contemporary, but diverse music like a Sephardic wedding song, a Nigerian carol and 2 African-American spirituals.

Full Value and Full of Harmonious Entertainment

by ArthurChatGee on 2018-07-03Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

I was fortunate to have enjoyed singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during their Sound Check at 2:30pm. It was a marvelous experience. Such a ridgid requirement to have memorized all the music and have it performed so seamlessly between songs is remarkable. To sit between to experienced and long time members Brodie and Brian together with a chap sitting behind me finding my music for me as they roll onto another number. The vocal parts were not the same as the Orchestral part so the numbering was different. What a glorious experience. It gives me great motivation to work harder at learning my own music in the Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir to perform without music and also with my Gospel Boys Choir within the Main Choir to sing A Cappella at Care Homes and Specialty Groups on occasions of their Celebrations from Time to Time. The Conductions/Directors Mack Wilberg and Ryan Murphy were marvelous to follow good ears and very precise in each rendition.. I am happy that our Conductor/Director, Jonathan Quick looks for the same values but feels that precision and acuracy in performance would be sacrificed somewhat if all the songs were memorized and we would have a reduced repertoire for our 18 performances a year. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is indeed special. I look forward to their next visit to Vancouver but I hope to get to Salt Lake and hear them again....one day. Wish them safe travels as they continue with their mission to share such wonderful songs, many arranged just for them by Mack and Ryan. Thank you for coming.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir was wonderful

by ShelleyF on 2018-07-03Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

I’ve seen the Mormon Tabernacle choir at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Their performance at the Orpheum theatre was so different, they had traditional choir hymns but also some songs where they had co-ordinated clapping and a couple of African hymns that were wonderful to see and hear! Inspiring!
