“MORE THAN A BROADWAY SHOW. A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC THAT TRANSFORMED AMERICA!”
– CBS Sunday Morning
It began as one man's story… became everyone's music… and is now Broadway's musical. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat. Featuring classic songs such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” experience the story behind the music in the record-breaking smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL!

Great show, really enjoyed the music, as well as the history review/lesson.
Just ok. Too much emphasis on the relationship with Diana Ross, not enough on the music.
great music , very nice arrangement , Fantastic story about Barry Gordy...
OH MY GOD!!! From start to finish i was literally happy! The cast and crew were amazing! Music was on point! I loved how engaging the cast were. I would watch again if brought back to Edmonton.
I could see it again and again! The actors were extremely talented, and were very convincing as the characters they played. Please come to Edmonton again!
Beautifully executed. The entire cast did an unbelievable job as I often caught myself actually thinking I was there with Berry Gordy and the Motown family witnessing these events. Would definitely recommend.
This show was amazing. To hear all the older music I grew up on was great Actor and actresses were awesome The little boy did an amazing job and what a voice Simply great
A complete package...entertaining with a clear history of music and changing times. The stage sets and lighting were amazing. Sound was perfect, not too loud. I would see this show again.
Definitely a must see! Acting was flawless. Loved it
Motown the the Musical, was all I hoped it would be. The voices, the acting, and the dancing were very enjoyable to me. I was amazed by the amount of songs included and by the quality with which they were done. Having visited Hitsville USA earlier this year, the influence of Barry Gordie was unmistakable. I was a little disappointed the crowd didn't join in more enthusiastically when invited to.
Brought me back to my youth. Wish I could have been dancing in the isles.
I attended knowing that I would enjoy the music, recognizing the majority of songs. Did not expect the performances to be outstanding, and they were! I can't recommend this Musical enough. Definitely worth the money, but more importantly, a night of pure enjoyment.
What a talented group! We all loved it-age range from 16 years to 60 attended the show!
Actors were great, music was delightfully reminiscent
My friend and I enjoyed the Shaw immensely. It was one of the best performances I have seen since the lion king.
An outstanding performance by the cast. They brought the story to life.
Too much Broadway and not enough Mowtown. The second half was like The Diana Ross show. Too much of her and not enough of others. There are so many mowtown songs they didn't sing any all the way through.
Motown was excellent. It was more than I expected. I would definitely see it again.
I highly recommend this show. The singing, dancing and acting talent was brilliant. There was not a weak actor on that stage.
