We had an amazing time, the show was incredible. This was a Christmas present for my husband and he was very impressed with the performance. My 19 years old daughter Olson loved the show.
The performance was truly amazing. Everyone that came to the show with us loved everything about the show.
What a wonderful tribute to Motown! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Great story and amazing actors. My daughter watched this in Broadway in New York City and said THIS Calgary show had even better singers, especially Barry Gordy.
Great show. All the performers were amazing. It was so interesting to learn about the rise of Motown. Disco is my favourite type of music. Grew up with it and still love it so much. Took my 28 year old son with me and he loved it as well. I have gotten him into disco music and he just loves it. I would definitely recommend this musical to everyone to go see.
If you like early Motown music, this is a must see. The performers were awesome, they sounded just like the real artists!
The show was terrific - great story, voices, dancing and high energy.

Entertaining from beginning until the end. The music and story were so amazing.
The singers were fabulous. I personally would have preferred more focus on the songs instead of the play. They would start singing a good song but most times it was cut short so I found that disappointing.
There is something wrong with the acoustics in Southern Jubilee. When the music got loud, it was like listening to it through some 1970 speakers. I was sitting up in the second side terrace seats on the left. The show was fantastic. Motown is the first musical theater or movie that my wife has enjoyed. The line I found funniest was "Berry Gordy is a good man", considering he wrote that line.
The music of Motown goes without saying was fantastic. The performers were fantastic and the sets were really great. The sound system was the only thing NOT excellent about the show. It was very loud at some points and the talking voices were very difficult to understand at times leading to missing important pieces of Berry Gordy's incredible story. I have found other Broadway Across Canada productions at the Jube had the same issues ( I have had seats in various areas of the theatre)
Awesome show! A musical romp through 25 years of Motown and the 60's and 70's. The show was funny and at times touched on some serious events in his US history. If you haven't seen it go now.
Very talented, all around cast. Very entertaining, covering bits of an extensive list of hits and other songs in full form, along with a story line.
It was a great show & interesting to know how Motown started & ended! Will never forget the songs & lots of us sang along to the music!
We went to this event with no expectation after the previous disastrous show we saw (jersey Boys). To our surprise this musical was excellent keeping us to the edge of our seats all night.The numbers were well done and the artist were right on key. The way it was produced was perfect, probably the best show we have seen this year, engaging, fun and entertaining.
It was a great show! The cast is interactive with the audience.
The music of Motown is great! Loved the show! Saw the original in NYC and this was just as good.
We throughly enjoyed every minute of this amazing show. The talent was on point.
The story line was interesting. I grew up near Detroit and listened to Motown as a teenager in the 60s and as an adult in the 70s, and had no idea about the back story. The cast is wonderful, the costumes amazing. The background film clips were a great idea...gave context to the changes in music. I was very impressed with the singing and dancing and portrayal of the characters. I was sitting in the second balcony, but could easily recognize Smokey, Marvin, etc as soon as they walked out...well done guys. And Stevie...I wasn't convinced it wasn't actually Stevie! Spot on. A fun evening...I couldn't sit still!
Fabulous music and an excellent story line. One the best Broadway shows out there.
