MS MR IN CONCERT:
Atmospheric art-pop band MS MR hit the road in 2013 for their very first headlining tour in support of their critically acclaimed debut album Secondhand Rapture. The duo's energetic, stylish live concerts drew rave reviews from fans, prompting additional North American tour dates for 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in 2010 by Vassar grads Lizzy Plapinger (MS) and Max Hershenow (MR), MS MR became one of the most buzzed-about bands of 2012 when the infectious retro-pop gem "Hurricane" from their debut EP became a favorite among music bloggers. With the 2013 release of their debut full-length Secondhand Rapture, the duo proved they were worthy of the hype, impressing critics with sleek hits like “Fantasy” and “Think of You” and wowing fans with their engrossing live performances.
Due to the slow dark melodies of their previous EP I thought this show would be one where you lounge and appreciate their talents from afar, boy was I wrong. From the start they kicked it off with sexy synth pop that dragged your feet to the dance floor and never let you leave. High energy, totally committed to their songs and they seemed to be having fun with them. Great show.

I had such a great time at the MS MR concert at Danforth Music Hall! We were in front row and the energy was so good. Lizzy and Max were awesome dancers, they were killing it on the stage! I was in front of the bassist/pianist and he could have been a little happier, but otherwise an amazing show by all! And with all the jumping and dancing and moving that Lizzy was doing, she rarely missed a beat! Way to go!! Verite and Jack Garrett were also UNREAL!! Such good openers, glad to learn some new artists and different music!
The entire evening was incredible. Support acts Verite and Jack Garratt set things off so well and arrived on stage with just a short wait which was nice. The pacing of the show from act to act to headliners MS MR made the show very satisfying. This is my first time experiencing the MS MR concert experience and I will subscribe again and again! Fabulous music, great stage show and extremely high energy movement made the set electrifying. I enjoyed every song immensely and got a great vibe from the crowd around me. Afterwards I could hear numerous audience members speaking their approval as well. I love this venue too and look forward to my next concert experience there!
Love Max & Lizzy! They were so awesome, they were really cool to all the fans! Was lucky enough to snag a front-row spot and Lizzy bent down to reach out to us! They jumped all over the stage. Their goth-pop music has an amazing beat that makes you want to dance along & cheer. They did a meet + greet after the show (I had to leave, but my friend stayed and said that they were super sweet!)
