magical mum
by nmm3 on 2009-11-03Venue - VancouverThis concert was so beautiful. Everything from the light show to the strange instruments to the bubbles had an unreal feel to it. The performers were captivating and the music moving.

Sin Fang Bous opened up the night at 9 pm. He played a variety of songs from his debut solo EP 'Clangour', and some other new tracks that don't appear on the album. I was pleasantly surprised by the band Sindri was playing with. They all played in top form. Mum was just awesome. They played an eclectic batch of instruments (as per usual?), and an eclectic mix of songs to boot. I enjoyed seeing their departure from glitch riddled music open up for me on stage in the form of a classic sounding set.
mind-blowing performance and good environment! it is the most awesome concert in my entire life. tears burst... :') love mum forever!
AMAZING! Such a great show. The opening band was great as well. The band sounded better than on the album and that's saying a lot!
The drunk girl in the crowd was right: Múm is fully capable of producing some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. If you ever get the chance to see them play live, do it! You will not be disappointed.
Mum tends to cause spontaneous regression to early childhood, but there was nothing childish about the amped-up version of "Green Grass of Tunnel" they played for the encore, the blissfully noisy end to a beautiful gig.
Excellent show. They were amazing live, played a wide variety of their materials, and you could tell they really appreciated the crowd regardless of its size. One of the best shows I've seen in a long long while... how does iceland do this with a population of 300 000?
