    AMAZING show.

by Mojo on 2022-08-03Coors Event Centre - Saskatoon

Sounded amazing; the sound guy really knows what he’s doing (other shows here haven’t sounded even half as good). Nathaniel & the band were clearly enjoying themselves and they rocked out hard. The BEST concert I have ever been too, which is saying a lot. This venue usually sounds horrible. Definitely going to go to as many of their shows as possible going forward.

    Amazing!

by SDJ on 2022-08-03Coors Event Centre - Saskatoon

The band was super tight, not a note out of place. Rateliff sand with conviction. The whole band was able to work the whole crowd and appeared to genuinely be enjoying themselves in spite of the heat! Well done!

    Oversold venue ruined great performance

by Rachel on 2022-08-03Coors Event Centre - Saskatoon

I would love to say that I enjoyed seeing Nathaniel Rateliff, but that would have required actually seeing him or even the stage. Coors Event Centre was packed so tight that even when standing by the doors, there was no room to move around. On the day of this event tickets were still on sale and it makes me wonder if there was ever a limit to the number sold. I have been to many sold out shows at this venue and it has never been half as packed as it was on Sunday. They were over capacity, even by pre covid standards, and the lack of space, and oxygen, made this event very disappointing. We left before it ended just to get some fresh air. I hope they learn from this mistake because I will never be returning to that venue. It’s a shame, I’m sure his performance was great.

    Nathaniel Rateliff Rocks

by Mort on 2022-08-02Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I've been to a lot of concerts and festivals in my long life. I've seen Rolling Stones 3 times, Foo Fighters, Neil Young, The Who, Bob Dylan, Florence and the Machine, Paul McCartney, and on and on. Virtually every great artist there ever was or is. I thought the Lumineers might rank as one of the best concerts I'd ever been to despite the notoriety of the hundreds of artists I'd seen in the past. After attending Nathaniel Rateliff this past week, I have to say it was an incredible show with a stellar band. It now ranks near the top of all concerts I've ever been to. Thank you Nathaniel for the live experience.

There was soul in the air

by Jo on 2022-08-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

First concert since COVID - fitting it should be Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. Intro:. “Hi, I’m Tony” These guys are real. That brass section! Had drinks at picnic tables on the lawn, great crowd, everyone sang along. The first song pulled us from our seats and we never sat down again. Danced all night, great encore, went home with Future. The Burt was shakin’!

    Lovely performance

by Ingi on 2022-08-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I really enjoyed their performance but wish there was no opening act. I didn’t care for the opening act and just find it’s an hour wasted. The crowd was really enjoying Daniel Rateliff. The style of music was really upbeat and made everyone want to join in the enjoyment of it. Crowd was very diverse with people of all ages enjoying it.

    Amazing energy

by Jan on 2022-08-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats are a band you need to see. To a sold out show, they played all their hits and also I discovered some other songs. The whole audience was swayed and toe-tapping. I will see them again!

    Great Concert/Venue

by Grant on 2022-08-01Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The concert was great. Very lively. Sound was terrific. Entry and exit was smooth. People were in a party mood. It was a hot night. It would have been better if the place had A/C. All around a great show! Grant

    not all blues and roots

by twinklebear on 2018-08-24Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

It wasn't what I thought as there was country music and sad to see only 5 bands compared to previous years, I attended before and really enjoyed myself. I also know in the pass I was able to bring food and was disappointed that I did not have that option this year. Also there was the issue with late start getting into the event due to scanner not available. I did enjoy Nathaniel Rateliff and the night sweats.

Bby Blues & Roots was great!

by Kimmy2 on 2018-08-24Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

So, the City of Bby has been putting on this event for nearly 20 years and they just keep getting better at it. It was organized very well, everyone was smiling and the Security Staff, Event Staff and Volunteers all did a great job. The pit toilets were spotless and there was an ample supply on both ends of the park The bands were on time, the sets were just long enough and of course, the picturesque setting doesn't hurt, either. I hadn't been for years but we'll be going back more often now!

Burnaby Blues & Roots Festival 2018

by Stormn26 on 2018-08-14Deer Lake Park - Burnaby

Was skeptical that event was scaled down to only six acts on only one stage. Fortunately this new format worked out tremendously. Acts were a great blend of sounds. Nicki Lane's sound mix was the only "non-excellent" piece. Nathaniel Rateliff was unbelievable. Great sound, great mix, great lighting, and even greater performance. Can't wait to see them again.
