Enjoyed the giveaways and entertainment away from the courts.
Had a great time at the 3rd round of the National Bank Open. Really enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back next year.
Loved the venue, easy parking, food court had a great selection. The tennis was awesome, loved watching the Canadians compete. Not a bad seat on the Centre Court. Will be going again!
Overall my experience was very positive. Good event, well organized. Centre court is a nice venue for watching tennis. I chose to attend the Tuesday day session so as to see games on the other courts, seated close to the players, and was not disappointed - it was entertaining and educational to see the players up close. The tournament web site could be improved. Live chat would be a distinct upgrade on the current automated chat which was frankly useless.
What an event to experience! Female athletes at the top of their game and we were lucky enough to catch a Canadian play! Pure grit! Such an inspiration to take two young girls and witness all that is tennis and the possibilities! Highly recommend for any age or gender. A fun family outing!
For the money, I couldn’t have had a better seat, just right of the net and high enough so I could see everything. Great afternoon, just sorry none of those I was cheering for won!
Easy to book tickets throught ticket master. Ca I had a great time, watching the tennis matches and the venues and entertainment.
First time attending a live tennis event and it was amazing. Great accommodations for those with a disability and wonderful guest service staff. Coffee a ridiculous price for a Nespresso $6! Will be back next year for the men
Parking situation has gotten worst over the years and is not up to par with other ATP tournaments. Overall there seems to be a lot being offered but doesn’t seem refined, doesn’t seem premium and doesn’t live up to over tournaments. I think there needs to be more focus on quality rather than quantity. Good news is that the athletes where great.
We attended Leylah Fernandez's first round match at Sobey's Stadium. We were amazed that the event was able to go ahead in light of the thunderstorms that occurred before the match. The volunteers were amazing, the venue was great and the food offerings were just right! One criticism would be that, for those fans travelling from outside of the Toronto area and unable to take public transit, parking is quite a distance away from the stadium. Shuttle buses would've been a nice added touch!
Great event, well organized. DO NOT stick to the main stadium, the side courts are where all the action is and you can get way closer. Highly recommend!
It was extremely hot in the stadium for the day session on a typical day (high of 27). It really tempered my enjoyment of the day session. I'm not sure what you can do about it. I would add that the day session's atmosphere doesn't compare to the night sessions. Even good matches don't have the same vibe and drama. I would suggest starting the night sessions earlier and having matches start at 6pm or earlier and having more matches at night (or late afternoon). Other aspects? I didn't like the carnival sound of the announcer. I think it is hokey and detracts. When I asked staff how to get somewhere, the usual answer was, I don't know. Staff should know the layout. Most staff were friendly, though, including those in the concession stands. I appreciated that.
Money's worth. Crowd was energetic. Amazing court.
I went Tuesday morning and although the tennis was good, I didn’t find the “on-site” experience much to talk about. In past tournaments there was always lots of little freebies, now even a cup of coffee was almost $6. I did however like the fact there was only a short gap between matches.
Despite the rain delay had a great experience at the NBOPEN
I loved the matches I attended. Everything is organized and easy to understand.
The venue is great, the fans are amazing when Canadian players are on court. Really loved the atmosphere. Big thank you to all the volunteers who are friendly and pleasant at any time.
Never have we been to a tennis event. We enjoyed it. Lots of action. Food and beverage options were great. Definitely will be getting tickets when the WTA returns in 2 years as they move to Montreal next year. Great venue to watch matches. Parking could be closer to the venue and maybe come with purchase. All in all a great time
You can find helpful staff everywhere to assist you. I like that the staff scan your tickets and you don’t bother print them out
