NECK DEEP IN CONCERT:

Pop punks Neck Deep always get audiences pumped with their infectious blend of singalong melodies and bouncy enthusiasm. When heís not amping up the audience, singer Ben Barlow kicks each song into overdrive with his scorching vocals. Ticket buyers wonít be able to resist jumping up and down when the band combines distorted power chords, rapid-fire drums, and driving basslines on standouts like ìLosing Teethî, ìWhat Did You Expectî, and ìTables Turnedî. With tons of fun and passion on tap, Neck Deep bring the pandemonium to fans every time they bring their high-octane tunes and infectious energy to the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Neck Deep began in 2012 when Welsh singer Ben Barlow and hardcore guitarist Lloyd Roberts wrote the track ìWhat Did You Expect?î. The duo generated tons of buzz after posting an acoustic demo online, and before long they had assembled a talented group of backing musicians to help carry out their vision. With drummer Dani Washington, rhythm guitarist Matt West, and bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans joining their ranks later in 2012, the new lineup released their debut EP Rain in July. They followed up with another EP before releasing their 2014 debut album Wishful Thinking. Like so many famous punk bands before them, Neck Deep jumped at the opportunity to perform on the Vans Warped Tour and gained valuable exposure as an opener for headliners like Linkin Park, A Day to Remember, and Issues. With their reputation on the rise, Neck Deep continues to rock fans on tour and release fun-loving records, including 2015ís Lifeís Not out to Get You.

    Amazing first concert experience!!!

    by Nathaniel on 2021-12-06

What an incredible concert being my first concert ever! This was my first time hearing the band and they turned me into a fan instantly! Went to the second day while they were performing at The Danforth Music Hall. The whole vibe and energy of the band members filled the venue and the crowd, it was quite the experience to say the least. Both the crowd and the band were feeding off each other and it was absolutely phenomenal! Someone fainted in the middle of the set, in which case they stopped performing to make sure they were alright and reassuring everyone to be safe but still have a great time. Jumping, swaying, screaming, shouting, the atmosphere was just incredible and it will for sure be a memory I will never forget!! As a new fan, I can’t wait until they return because they just became my favourite band and group of artists!

    Unfair and Discriminatory

by Disappointed Plague Rat on 2021-12-04The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

When the tickets for this concert we’re purchased, I was sure to check the COVID-19 guidelines to see whether test alone would be valid. Sure enough, it was. Fine by both ticketmaster and Danforth Music Hall to provide a negative COVID test for entry. Flash forward to the date of the concert on December 1 - Danforth Music Hall now requires “proof of full vaccination” to enter. Not once was I contacted to advise the venue guidelines had changed to now only accept “fully vaccinated” patrons. I truly do not understand how the venue or bands can stand behind only allowing vaccinated people into their shows when the only way to make sure everyone is truly safe and negative for COVID is by rapid testing the crowd on entry. Let’s stop pretending the vaccine stops transmission, it does not. Enough is enough. Rapid testing everyone is the only way to know if the virus is present.

Neck Deep always puts on an amazing show and the 2021 show wasn’t any different. They keep the energy high and the vibes good. Neck Deep is a great headlining band and the other bands on tour were bangin. Super stoked for the next time they’re in Toronto!

    Amazing first show back

by brittmc182 on 2021-12-03The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

After a long two years of no concerts, Neck Deep really cured that itch!!! The show was high energy, entertaining, and sounded amazing. I had seen ND 4 times previously, and I think that this show was my favourite of the bunch!! An audience member passed out and hit the ground hard, and the band immediately took action and made sure the person was able to exit the crowd quickly and safely. The band then respectfully made sure everyone was OK, then picked right back up without skipping a beat. Thank you Neck Deep for an awesome night!!! I missed being covered in bruises - feels good to be back.

Neck Deep was amazing - what did you expect?

by Roanna on 2018-10-09The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I've seen Neck Deep a few times (including earlier this year) and they continue to blow me away. Their live shows are so energetic and they've really upped their game in terms of lights and stage effects (there were actual flames this time!). This tour, they pulled out some older songs like "Candour" and "I Couldn't Wait to Leave 6 Months Ago", while still playing a good selection off their latest album - including the emotional "19 Seventy Sumthin'" which was incredible to hear live. If you're a pop-punk fan at all, you must go to a Neck Deep show, they're one of the best bands in the scene right now.

The lineup was solid. Neck Deep was amazing as always. Security guards at the venue were not the greatest but overall the show was phenomenal!
