    Newsboys rock

by snowybird on 2010-04-23MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Energetic and spiritually uplifting. Loved the Junkyard Poets - unique. Many in our group loved the other band from Sioux City more but I kinda liked the Poets style. That lead singer has an amazing voice. Then came Newsboys. We had a blast. Loved the DC Talk stuff mixed in. Good to see a wide range of ages. Grandparents love to rock still. LOL

The show was good, could have been much better. The sound set up was really bad, WAY way way TO LOUD had to pray that ours were pretected - a good show doesn't need to be as LOUD and over powering as your sound crew set it up. We would not go to another concert, it would be more enjoyable hearing the songs on the radio or a CD then to go to an event and leave with ringing ears.

    Phenomenal Concert!

by MydaughterlovesAnthony on 2010-04-23MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Newsboys really delivered! The main show lived up to all expectations. Great music, great message, great performance. My son almost exploded, he was so pumped! His only letdown was that they didn't do "Belly of the Whale". What a blessing this evening was!

    Newsboys were fabulous

    by sludel2 on 2010-04-23MTS Centre - Winnipeg

The concert was fantastic. the two warm up bands were also great, Junkyard Poets and Bread Of Stone. Michael Tait definitely adds a new dimension to the group. We missed Peter Furley and some of the old favorites. But the new stuff is great. Thanks for coming to Canada and especially Winnipeg.

    Newsboys

    by Kmaxx125 on 2010-04-23MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Yeah...it was different with Michael Tait as the frontman instead of Peter Furler...but, it was a fun show...VIP pass got us into a meet-n-great which was interesting....front row seats...which was awesome...yes, a different sound to the Boys...like a combination of DC Talk and the old Newsboys sound...probably the Go tour was more slick/tight overall...but, the boys still bring the noise...so head over if you get the chance. And...yeah...V.I.P. is worth it in my opinion...if you are looking for a little extra bang for your Newsboys experience. All in all...recommended.

I was so glad I went to event. I was not sure how it would be without Peter Furler, but Michael Tait was amazing. Newsboys will do well with him. If they came to Winnipeg again, i would definetely go again.

    Newsboys rocked!

by Aspendos on 2010-04-22Credit Union Centre - Saskatoon

Seeing these guys live for the first time with a new frontman, I have to admit left me a bit concerned, but last night my cocnerns were replaced with jubilation! The first opening act had us dancing from the start, the second mellowed us out, but the Newsboys sealed the deal. I was a little disappointed about the absence of Audio Adrenaline, with no word of explanation, but the "boys" made up for it! With high energy, a great blend of old & new from both Newsboys and DC Talk, it was one of the best concerts I have seen in a while, and I have seen a lot of concerts! Highly recommend, and hats off to the "boys"!

Seating a Nighmare but Great Show

by mrsletkeman on 2010-04-22Credit Union Centre - Saskatoon

They had changed the seating from the original, and at the time we arrived, our FRONT ROW seats were non-existent! After one trip back to the box office and finding out our new seats had been reassigned, and much standing around waiting for our new seats, we did end up with better seats than we had originally so I can't complain. We were right next to the catwalk in the 4th row. We had VIP passes, so we got to meet the band before the show and get an autograph. The music was great, although I was expecting two members of Audio Adrenaline to open. Instead, Junkyard Poets and Bread of Stone were openers. I could not understand some of the JPs lyrics and I didn't think the leader of a Christian band should wear a Run DMC t-shirt at a show, but thrie music was cool, and Bread of Stone was great and very worshipful, which I liked. Newsboys was amazing, and they even did some DC Talk songs! Great show even with the seating mishaps!

    Newsboys concert was great!

by DeanofromAB on 2010-04-19Evangel Pentacostal Assembly - Edmonton

They started out with some new songs that were done specifically with Michael Tait as the lead singer. It is a whole new direction from the pop sound the Newsboys are famous for. Michael Tate is definitely a good influence. There is a much edgier rock vibe from the Newsboys now than ever before...I think the change in lead singers was wise. A lot of people will be buying that new album...

    Newsboys were awesome!

by MoM5jane on 2010-04-19Evangel Pentacostal Assembly - Edmonton

It was the first time I saw the Newsboys live and they were awesome! I took my 9 year old daughter and it was her first concert. They have a new lead singer, Michael Tait (formerly from DC Talk) and he was great. They played some old songs, new songs and even a couple from DC Talk.
