  • Thoughts and reflections

by Mike on 2023-10-22The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

Nick isn't a comedian. That's not to say he's not funny, but he's not up there doing stand-up. There's a lot of personal reflections, strong opinions and justified criticisms of a certain Canadian singer-songwriter. Sometimes he's crass and sometimes you wished the omnipresent security guard would let you have 2 seconds on your phone to define the last word he said. Seriously Caesar's, lighten up just a touch. I am a fan of Mr. Offerman, I've read his books and realized many of our views align nicely. In a different world, at a different time, I'd like to think we could be friends. He's not Ron Swanson (a fact he's put to music) so if your world view leans heavy to the right and/or you're a fan of Ben Shapiro, you might not enjoy this show. I overheard more than one of my neighbors express their displeasure at what is simply their own ignorance. Before paying for an evening to enjoy someone's "merriment and mirth", reflect on whether or not you're willing to actually listen. A few "bits"are recycled from other Nick Offerman offerings, but always the best ones. I appreciate having the opportunity to see him in person, support him, and enjoyed the evening thoroughly. A few pieces felt forced, but I wonder if that's because it's obviously written for an American audience and some of the political and pop culture ideas might not translate well North of the border. The truly magical moments are always the digressions and ad lib comments where see the real Nick Offerman.

  • Nick Offerman

Nick delivered a memorable evening! Just what we expected- fun, musically terrific, quick whit and sharp observations! The opening Triple A Sounds was fabulous. The selections he played were tight and helped set the tone for the evening Perhaps Caesar's could expand the exits to ensure a quicker exit??? Your staff were polite and helpful by the way!

  • If you don’t “get” him … you’re missing out!

Nick is unique … I love both him & his wife, amazing comedians giving & giving back. I love the way he makes vital, subtle important points.

  • Performance was ok…

by Sandradee on 2023-05-17Casino Rama Resort - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

It felt a little contrived and not that smooth. Nick started out the evening telling how it would be a clean show because that’s what the venue wanted and then went on to say how he would keep things clean about his wife and not stoop so low as to trash talk about her. But the evening was far from clean (and while that wasn’t a problem), I just didn’t find jokes about “Eating ass” all that funny.😟 I guess I just couldn’t relate. Then he spent a good amount of time trying to distance himself from his character on Parks and Rec (Ron Swanson). He was way more interested in discussing the hate he received online when playing a different role in “The Last of Us”. I’m sure it was hard but we came to laugh. Just my thoughts.

  • Enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed the show! He customized the show to the local events with hilarious special songs. I normally hate song parodies but these were good!

  • Tolerance is Tolerance

by Slade on 2023-05-10Casino Rama Resort - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

Offerman has a keen mind, quick wit and better than most vocabulary but his intolerance for anyone who doesn't share his personal opinons is off putting.

  • Worth It

by Jack Munny on 2023-05-09Rating: 5 out of 5

Nick was entertaining. I didn't know who he was before watching The Last of Us and honestly not a fan of comedy music but this show was worth it. Its not a laugh out loud show but funny with some great messaging to just be kind to one another. Nick covered his roles in Parks & Rec, The Last of Us and had a comical tribute to Gordon Lightfoot. I think his show was 90 minutes but honestly lost track of time listening to him.

  • Great show for a casino

by Chris on 2023-05-09Casino Rama Resort - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful show and performance. Only knock was that its a casino show so many people attending had no idea what they were going to since they received free tickets. But Mr Offerman was stellar and worth the price of car rental, hotel stay and ticket price.

My wife and were fortunate enough to see Nick tonight at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario near Orillia. Such an amazing show. A heartfelt and heart warming comedy show delivered by a great performer. You will laugh and be inspired to strive to be a better person. I would love to see him again soon.
