About

Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

  • Worth Every Minute!

    by Slowgoat13 on 2025-10-09Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Brought my kid for their 18th birthday. We do a lot of concerts so we were expecting or normal show. It was not. Trent put on a fantastic show! I was surprised at the energy he had. It was worth the plane trip from Newfoundland to Ontario to see Nine Inch Nails.

  • A Deep Dive into Nine Inch Nails "Peel It Back Tour"2025

by Freddy Sandoval Gonzalez on 2025-08-30Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Toronto entered an industrial rock rave with underground vibes at the Scotia Bank Arena on August 23. Red lights set the tone for the opening act as people entered on a deep journey; the beats coming from the DJ standing on an altar transformed every lub-dub noise of our hearts into energy. In the middle of the arena, a covered black cubic monolith stands tall, focusing all the looks its way. Minute after minute, the venue was immersed in a download spiral. The monolith lost its cover, changed its colour to white and the legend himself, Trent Reznor, appeared calmly sitting at a piano. Phase one begins! While Reznor is delivering a soulful rendition of "Right Where It Belongs" With "Somewhat Damaged"outro, the inside of the back then monolith, now turned into a little basement looking stage, is followed by "Ruiner"while @Boys slide into the scene to hype up the crowd with "Piggy"to finish phase one with a big scream, NOTHING CAN'T STOP ME NOW! The beast Josh Freese opened phase two by banging the drums in a bigger stage in the back of the arena that was hiding in plain sight and now is covered with some kind of gigantic monitor curtains while "Wish"exploded and the people lost it to music, creating an echo every time Trent says TRUE! or YOU! The Pigs started to march, moving the concert to a further vibration, while the claps kept the song moving, and we all took the skin and peeled it back. Suddenly, the "Reptile"took the stage, sliding through the green and white lights, and hell broke loose with all the tones of red lights and quoting Nietzsche with "Heresy". Have you ever seen Reznor multiply itself and danced like a happy toddler? Well, we all did when "Copy of A"started to play, really, that happened, I was there. It was great to see how a person who was really troubled now enjoys life and brings hope to people through great music. "Gave Up", still not, because Robin Finck screamed the hell out of his soul to end phase two. Trent returned to that small basement-looking stage, now transformed into a smoking electronic set with blue bar lights, with Boys Noize to enter into Superman mode and phase three with "Vessel". A rain of purple lights stands up while Trent and company transformed "Closer"from a great song about a broken man with no faith into a remix and a reason to keep up and stay alive. "Tron"entered the night with "As Alive as You Need Me to Be"to give us something to believe in, followed by "Came Back Haunted"to remind us never to come back, and finished phase three. The voice inside our heads started to release phase four with "Mr. Self Destruct", a wake-up call screamed out of "Less Than", and a sped-up version of "The Perfect Drug"with a more than inspired Joss drumming. Trent introduced the band and thanked their crew. He said it was an accident (with only a few injuries), and the crew worked double to put the concert together (Great for him to acknowledge the crew work). Finally, it was all about Americans with "I'm Afraid of Americans", and to keep chin held high with "The Hand That Feeds", leading us to explode with "Head Like a Hole"and the beautiful ending with multiple lights all around us with "Hurt". • Amazing performance and vibe

by Mosoedro on 2025-08-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The soft intro was a fake-out for a show that came in hot and never let up. Amazing!

  • Better than expected

I was expecting a good concert, but it was absolutely fantastic! Set was just so amazing and the songs just flowed perfectly. Entire night was beyond amazing!

  • 5 stars isn't enough

    by Shoeman75 on 2025-08-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Most epic concert and dream come true. Been waiting to see them for years and finally got the chance. They did not disappoint and I want to see them again asap. Once they started, it was instance from beginning to end. Simply epic and amazing.

  • As always Nine inch nails put on a spectacular show

by Lee on 2025-08-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Right from the start Trent Reznor did it again. From the first setting on a smaller side stage where he opened with just himself and a keyboard he had the crowd captivated. The use of dual stages was a great use of space and allowed views from every angle. The sound quality was amazing. We were definitely surprised when Reznor announced that they had accomplished this despite being short much of their equipment. ( Due to a transport accident the previous day). We were especially awed by the ways they put images into multiple screens on the larger stage. This was my second time getting to see them perform. If I have the chance, I will definitely go again

  • Trent Reznor on point

by CM on 2025-08-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible show - the lights, the sounds, the stage set up. Trent Reznor sounded amazing. Not the most engaging band, but the pure brilliance of the music makes up for that. Loved the middle stage and that they moved back and forth between the two. Gives fans a chance for a more close up experience. 10 thumbs up!

  • Awesome (once the real show started)

by Autumn on 2025-08-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

NIN isn't a band I listen to a lot, I went to this concert with my husband because it was a nostalgia kick for him - the first big concert he went to without parental supervision as a teen was NIN. I know a few songs, but not many so I didn't have any real expectations. The hour of EDM music played by the opening act Boys Noise didn't give me much hope - sorry to fans of it but it all sounded the same to me (except maybe the last little while) and an hour of that uninterrupted was just too much for me. But once NIN took the stage... WOW. The light show and production value was consistently amazing (even more so knowing that some of their equipment had been damaged enroute and the techs had to scramble to make it all work with less!) and while I still only knew a few songs the vibes were impeccable. Trent Reznor is hugely talented and hella impressive with his energy and enthusiasm at 60!

  • Hands down, the best concert I have ever been too!

by Kayla on 2025-08-27Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw NIN in 2005/6 during the With Teeth Tour. No other concert i have been too has ever lived up to it - and I've been to a few! The energy, passion, audio and visuals. Everything I could want from a band! This concert, I worried i might have idolized that 2005/6 concert. That my memory of 20 years ago couldn't be beat! Was I wrong! Peel It Back Tour was beyond what I could have hoped for! It's been days and I still am living on high! Bravo to the band and team of geniuses that pull this magic together! Please come back to Toronto on your next tour! Can't wait!
