About

Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN are set to compose the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

  • BEST. LIVE. SHOW. EVER

by Fog Keller on 2025-01-30Rating: 5 out of 5

Best live act out there. I have seen them a bunch of times, every time is amazing. Trent always brings it every show and never leaves the audience disappointed. Arena show, amphitheater show doesn't matter. As I said BEST. LIVE. SHOW. EVER!!!

I’ve seen NIN 2 dozen times and have to say they are the best live act out there. If only they toured more.

  • Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden were amazing

    by jasonipod2 on 2014-07-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

When I bought my ticket, I wasn't sure at first who would play last. When I found out Nine Inch Nails would play last, I was very happy. I love both NIN and Soundgarden, but would prefer NIN to play last to save the best for last. And they did. Before the show, my expectations for Soundgarden were low because I saw them at Sound Academy last year and played for 2 hours and 30 minutes and 28 songs. Seeing this is a co-headlining tour, I was expecting Soundgarden to play a lot less longer. When I saw them in concert at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, they exceeded my expectations. Soundgarden took the stage at 7:40 PM and played a 14-song, 80-minute set. Setlist included six songs from Superunknown, A Thousand Days Before, the only song from King Animal and they finished their set with Beyond The Wheel. While the sound was a bit murky, I could hear Chris Cornell very well. He sounded overall great, especially at 50. Matt Chamberlain also proved to be a fantastic replacement for Matt Cameron, who is taking a break from Soundgarden to focus on Pearl Jam. Nine Inch Nails took the stage at 9:30 PM and played 18 songs throughout their 90-minute set. Show started with Copy of A with Trent coming on stage first, then Alessandro Cortini, followed by Ilan Rubin and last, but not least, Robin Finck. They played mostly their most famous songs such as Closer, March of The Pigs, Head Like A Hole as well as a few rarities and ended the show with Hurt. The production they used on this tour was very different to what NIN used during their Tension Tour last year and it was still impressive. This was the 5th time I saw NIN and each time I see them feels like a very different experience from the last. To conclude, this was the best co-headlining show I saw to date.

  • NIN = Best. Concert. Ever!

by Damija on 2013-12-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to many concerts, but this was by far the best. NIN was so amazing! We had great seats, but the special effects and Trent's hypnotizing voice was enjoyed by all, no matter where you were seated. I would go back to see them in a heartbeat!

Trent Reznor sounded unbelieveable!!! After all these years to finally see them live was amazing :)

  • AWESOME! ANOTHER AMAZING VISUAL DISPLAY BY NIN

    by STARZFAN1 on 2013-11-29Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The main reason I go to see this band is their visual show and they didn't dissapont. Sitting at the back of the venue is recommended to get the full effects of the show and the song selection was amazing as well

  • Disappointed

    by lunachick15 on 2013-11-28Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5

This concert was overall very dissapointing. The light show was boring, the set list felt very random and thrown together with no flow and they played way to many songs from their new album which I feel is terrible, especially considering how good their last few albums have been. Unfortunately I will not be attending another NIN concert in the future.

  • Nine Inch Nails = so much awesome

by smrtblonde on 2013-11-28Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Trent rocked so hard! All of the musicians and the two backup singers were really fantastic. I had looked up the setlist beforehand so I wasn't disappointed with the excess of Hesitation Marks songs, but I know some people would rather just hear the classics. Personally I love the new album and think it was meant to be played in a stadium - so epic!
