  • Orville Peck Live - Undeniably Sublime

by Connie on 2024-07-06Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My first Orville Peck concert was July 3 in Toronto. I was so blown away that my second was in Ottawa July 4 and my third in Montréal July 5. I knew going in that his music was amazing but nothing can compete with the quality of the music, the power of his performance, and the shear beauty of the show. I took my daughter to the first show and my husband to the second two and they are Orville fans now too; won over by the undeniable charisma and talent of this accomplished musician and his band. Songs that were not necessarily my favorites on the albums (Big Sky) became so by the artistic delivery of the artist’s live show. Songs that were already my favorites (Let Me Drown) moved me to tears with the sublime delivery. Lastly, so happy Orville has lost his fringe. Although I had not seen a show when he wore it, seeing his smiling face added so much to the experience, truly joyful! I’ll be at the front of the line (again) when he returns to these parts next!

  • That voice is magic!

by Aimee on 2024-07-06Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Orville’s velvety voice and tales of love created an amazing atmosphere! His stage presence and the mask added so much mystery to his show. I can’t stop listening to Drive Me, Crazy. Definitely an artist you don’t want to miss.

  • kinda lackluster

First saw OP at Crystal Lake Festival at the frontier ghost town in Ontario. He was really entertaining. This latest show at Budweiser Stage was lacking any sense of wow factor. Now its just tattoos, biceps a few boot kicks and a snake sign and excuses to justify losing the fringemask and his mystery that was the lure. After all the success, duets, recording, cancelling a tour... one would think coming back on the road would be with a splash. No mystique there.

Fabulous evening! Discovered War and Treaty’s unbelievable powerhouse vocals for the first time. Wow!!! And Orville Peck received a rousing welcome from his former city. In great form, stronger and happier than ever. He did not disappoint… never does! I loved the throwback reference to all his Toronto concert venues . Monarch Tavern, Horseshoe, Danforth Music Hall, Massey Hall… and I love the joyous audience of country fans, LGBTQ fans, music fans, who are all there to have a great time! Y’all come back soon!

  • Best Concert I've Ever Been To

    by Thomas E on 2024-07-06Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The openers had amazing style and energy. I really appreciated the level of skill and confidence that two bands had. Orville Peck was amazing. He had great chemistry with his band and have fantastic energy when performing songs and interacting with the crowd. On top of that, his ability to sing was phenomenal. I was blown away by how amazing his voice was; the level of control, emotion, and overall clarity that he sang with was unbelievable. You really have to see him live to fully understand how amazing his singing is.

My son who has a very eclectic taste in music, had me listen to some Orville. Had to get tickets Insanely funny and rock solid show at my favourite venue. Cannot wait until we do that again

  • Excellent

by Deb on 2022-08-14Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a great, high energy show!! The only problem is that we were in section 209. The seats were not good at all. Our view was obstructed by the railing and we had only a side view of the musicians. Next time we will definitely make sure we do not chose this section or section 201.

  • An Amazing Performer

by Ian on 2022-08-14Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Orville really gave Toronto his all — I was so moved and inspired by this man. He really puts effort into entertaining the people who come to see him, I believe because he knows how much art and music mean to people. He's an inspiration, the show was dynamic and he and his band are incredibly talented, and Massey Hall was a fantastic venue to finally get to see one of my heroes perform.

  • Awesome Orville
