Ottawa Senators History
The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

The game itself is always unpredictable and unfortunately a 8-4 loss does not make any game very fun. I believe there are areas to improve on that can be done quite simply; the fan experience is what drives people to come back. There needs to be a better feel to a game that is less objective focused. Lights and special intermission events make for a better atmosphere. A bit more focus on older people enjoying the event rather than children only. I am in the age group range of 20-30 and believe that having maybe sections win discount beer prices, or student night events. There are simple small ways that should be investigated to find a way of bringing more joy even if the game is a brutal loss. There is currently a lacking effort to make these cheap or expensive tickets for a hockey game even better. Having the recklaws play from time to time is exactly the kind of thing I’m referring to! Makes for a more memorable night regardless of the hockey.
The Ledge is the perfect spot to watch a game, however, the DJ as being entertainment was not entertaining for us.
I loved seeing the Ottawa Senators live and seeing them win as it was my first time watching live hockey. We are from Nunavut and it felt like a once in a lifetime experience!
Everything was perfect except the Tim Hortons Boston cream Donte was really bad and old and it didn't had cream inside it if the it wasn't a line up on the counter I would return it back
It was a pleasure to watch an exciting game in Ottawa once again! After several years of lack lustre hockey the rebuild is beginning to pay dividends and it is fun to know our team has a chance in every game it plays. Well done!
Ordered the tickets. downloaded the tickets and went to the Hockey game in Ottawa. Sens vs the Bruins, great game good seats. Bought parking tickets too, it was a good idea to get parking. highly recommend. ticket prices were comparable.
the hockey game was great, but the stadium experience was awful due to the decibel level of the sound system. Every break in the action, every second of the intermission, was filled with raucous, ear damaging bad music and inane exhortations to 'make some noise'. it was an assault. my phone recorded decibel levels sustained above 100db, peaking at 109 db. Occasional bursts of loud sounds we can deal with, but it was unrelenting. give us a break, and let us relax and talk during breaks in the action instead of putting our fingers in our ears. We left after the second period. Another young couple were exiting at the same time, said they were leaving for the same reason. Enjoyed the third period and overtime on the tv [recorded] at home, much better. ps I can see why ottawa wants a new rink - the canadian tire centre whatever its called is not well designed for entry/exit and moving around in the building. and its car dependent. ottawa deserves a new rink closer to city with easy public transport options (think vancouver, toronto, montreal).
I just love watching the Senators play live! They always fight so hard, regardless of the game result, it is always a pleasure and worth seeing them play. It is a great environment to go with children!
The Ledge food is inedible. The only thing I could eat were gherkin pickles and olives.
Best ever....staff very polite...appreciated songs in french....thank you....
left 2 hours early from Rockland, With all the traffic before the centre and the amount of time it takes to get to a parking we missed the full first period and half the third since leaving on time would take 2 hours to get out of the parking by itself. Paying more more for the rivalry games but gives you the worst experience
Couldn’t park where I was supposed too. Traffic was really bad and late getting into the game. Missed the whole first period. Had to park at a business far up the road…it was a very long walk but beat trying to wait to get into the parking that was left. Would have missed more of the game. So, a little disappointing as this game was a Christmas gift to my two kids.
Entry was very easy, and the staff helpful. Entertainment besides the actual game interesting to watch. Bonus the Senators won.
Was one of the most lackluster hockey games I've ever witnessed live.
This wasn’t my first game, although it was mh best friends first nhl game and he was really excited, but Ottawa forgot to show up to the game and they got absolutely destroyed leaving both of us devastated, also my seat had a broken spring that was poking my but and the seats seemed smaller then on the other side of the arena.
It would be nice if attention would be given in the WC section as they are always left out! Example Sparty could make a visit as wheelchairs can not go down stairs to see him!
The hockey game was good to watch in person again, but the cost of the food/drink items was very expensive, and I could not stand the noise level during intermission of the DJ. Prosper. I guess I am getting too old for this type of environment/ entertainment anymore. Too loud and too expensive.
Bought 2 tickets for my son and I to see the Senators while in Ottawa on business. Our flight was delayed in Toronto on account of the weather so we never got to go to the game. Senators lost 5 to 1 to New Jersey.
