Ottawa Senators History

The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

  • Overall, ok

by Gino on 2022-11-22Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

I would assign guards at the entrance of the section and only allow people to come when there is a whisle since we had to get up or our view was impaired. Overall, all good.

  • To eat or not to eat?

by Burnsie on 2022-11-18Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

Overall experience was great for the Monday night game against the Islanders, except the score. Prior to start of game with the 5:30 start we wanted to get something to eat. We arrived at the arena about 5pm and figured we had lots of time to get something. Decided on smoked meat on the 200 level. Didn’t seem to be much of a lineup so we joined it. There were almost as many people lined up after the cash as before it. We waited and we waited we missed the introduction of players. We missed the national anthem. We missed the first five minutes of play. They didn’t have any product hot or they ran out out. Wasn’t sure which. Have worked at a hotel for 26 years, learned early that proper preparation will ensure you have the correct product at the correct time which equals happy customers. I felt for the lad who was running all over to get supplies of the smoked meat from, what I guess, we’re the other locations while the stuff in his oven heated. Don’t know if the early start of the game contributed to the problem or not.

  • Great atmosphere, good game,

by RobbieG on 2022-11-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

The only issue i had was corner seat are not for me as the arms seem to point inwars towrds the front making it difficult to move in and out of the seat.

  • Good times

by Yank on 2022-11-11Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Great seats and venue. The game was exciting. The Sens have real long-term potential.

  • I thought it would be best to be quiet and seated

by Jim on 2022-11-11Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

As a Canucks fan living in Ottawa I had to see my team take on the Sens. I thought I would get a cold beverage and a bite to eat and hope for the best. I promised myself I wouldn’t cheer for Bo and the boys. I’d just keep quiet. My plan worked when the Sens scored in the first. But as the Canucks took control I cheered and clapped as loud as possible for all 6 goals. An amazing game and lots of fun. Even the Sens fans were great! The beer and food and the venue was first class.

  • Good Game, unfortunate result ....

by MAXIMUS on 2022-11-08Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

The game was great, and the Sens were showing determination, skills and strong character. Some strategy problems and not so coherent when getting closer to the Flyers goalie.

  • Carter Hart rises again

by Alsallday on 2022-11-08Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

I had a great time Saturday watching Flyers grind out yet another win. With so many injuries to the club I think they are doing very good. Carter was yet the backbone of the team again. As more players come off the injury list it will only get better. Go Flyers go…

  • Great game... great seats

by Upset on 2022-11-06Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Great game... great value... being from the Toronto market... its nice to be able to take your kids to a NHL game and not have to remortgage your house to attend a game.

  • Great game experience, poor lower bowl logistics

by Mike on 2022-10-26Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Other than the DJ, the entire experience in my seats was fantastic. DJ was basically a poor, offkey hypeman... Turn it down two notches and talk less over the music. Lower bowl is too congested in terms of walking in the hallway, getting food, or getting into the bathroom. Good luck if you're not in club seats or club Bell.

by Rob P on 2022-10-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

She was looking above and below a metal bar put in place to help people walk to their seats. I encouraged her to lean closer to it in order to view the play in our end. #GOSENSGO

  • Nice but expensive

by Steve on 2022-10-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

I really love seeing a live game but the rest is much too expensive ! 2 hot dogs and drink for $24 ?? Parking $35 ?? Beer $15 ??? I know we have to pay the players but this is too much !
