Ottawa Senators History

The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

we were up 2-0 and then WE LOST, the seats were great though, the habs suck rn though. Cayden Primeau can't save a beachball.

  • Okay

by Groin on 2022-10-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Well, the arena needs better, brighter lighting. There is missing decorations on the ceiling like the Bell Centre in Montreal. I saw the Fan Day which was 5 times better than in Montreal...which has NO fan day like in Ottawa. The beer is cheaper than in Montreal....that's good!!! The tickets are much cheaper as well.... They have a great team this year....that's attracting to watch.....WOW!!! The corporate boxes (loges) are closer to the game than in Montreal.....good as well for companies.

  • Fun but crowded

by Belle on 2022-10-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Always fun getting to see a game, my only complaint would either be bigger seats or more spaced out seats. I think we all learned from covid how fast germs can spread. I was stuck between 2 women coughing and sneezing up a storm. Definitely a breeding ground for a virus.

  • Great evening

by Lynnie on 2022-10-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Good seats, good game. Friendly staff. All in all good evening.

  • FanFest Meet the Players

by Bondo on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

The coaches/managers interviews were great, unfortunately there was an issue with the ice so the team never skated, this caused patrons to go for the autographs and shopping. We did not stay for the autographs as the line-up was extremely long.

  • Nice consolation

by Ron from Dunrobin on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Unfortunately the ice was not suitable for the scheduled practices but the compensation was very nice. Will attend again next year

  • Very confusing

by Aj on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

It was very unorganized. My family and I kept getting shuffled from line to line and at sometimes it would put us at the back of the line behind other people who had just got there. We were in one line for 45 minutes before the told us “ oh no this is the line to buy stuff from the tent” and we were told to go back to the first line they had pulled us from in the first place.

  • Been going to the games for 18 years

by Mitch Major on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Always was happy about the services rendered by the staff

  • It was a bust!

    by P. L. on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

Unfortunately there was a problem with the ice so there was no skating. For all of the little kids, that was the biggest part of the experience so we ended up leaving as there was not much more for the little ones. They were not interested in a press conference. There were some outdoor fun things to do but limited. Too bad, it was going to be a great time.

  • Fanfest

by Barbie on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

It was fun. Disappointed about open practice and the ice problems.

  • Sens rule

by Tina L on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

I was disappointed that the practices were cancelled but the Sens organization did the best they could under those circumstances. Overall the events was great. Lots of fun things to do with the kids.

  • Sad

by Sarah on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

I have been to many sens fan fest and this i have to say was bad. In previous years there was scratch cards and it was by luck wat player to get singed. This yr all the major big players went to the season holders. U have to think this event is for mostly the kids. Also the way they did near closing instead of letting the kids do it the things the say nope its shut down. To see these children cry was heartbreaking. Then it happened the facepainting and balloon tent. It was just sad

  • LOVED IT

by Regine Mae on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

  • Disappointed with this years fan fest

by Josh on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

This fan fest was very minimal compared to 2019s didn't have any option to meet who you wanted and wasnt much around to do compared to 2019s the practices etc got canceled hope the next fan fest is better

  • Ottawa Senators

by Mike on 2022-09-28Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent service. Nice hockey team. Should be a good and interesting season this year with the new players.

  • Enjoyed the experience

by GoSensRaiders on 2022-05-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Good view even from the cheap seats. It wasn’t a good game for the Sens but that has been the exception lately, not the norm. The team is very entertaining and the future looks good. Music during intermissions was too loud, at least up where we were. Will bring ear protection next time.

  • Was he best night out in a long time!

    by D on 2022-05-01Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Ticketmaster made things so easy that I had nothing to worry about except for making sure I had my phone with me! This was a great night out with no worries!

  • NHL Hockey at Canadian Tire Ctr

The e-tickets worked well on my phone... the game was awesome!

  • Apparently you are allowed to Vape in the CTC

    by E.Emond on 2022-04-27Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

We were sitting in row H section 314 and aa person in the row infront of us was vaping throughout the entire game. Im almost 100% sure that this is not allowed. We mentioned it to a staff member and nothing was done. We had a child with us. This was completely uncalled for. As well the food station right outside our station took the whole intermission to serve the 5 people that were in our line ahead of us. By the time we got to the front of the line, the game was back on. I feel like this food station was completely overwhelmed.

  • Great Experience

by Nicky on 2022-04-26Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

The fans were great. The most important thing was that the sens won eventhough they were playing a back to back game.
