When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. • Meh

by Buttmunch on 2021-10-20Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Great game, concessions are wildly overpriced, no re-entry sucks, $20 for a pint means I won’t be going back, to say nothing of what a pain it is to get there if you don’t drive.

  • Not a good experience

by Rob on 2021-10-18Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

The lines to get in the building were very long and took far too much time to get inside. It was not because of COVID but because of the extensive security check. Basically airport security minus a carry on check. Once inside the concession stands were also very slow and it took 30 min just to get two beers. I was at the game 30 min before and I made it to my seats half way through the first period.

  • Missed 2nd period due to slow food lines

by Dip on 2021-10-18Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

Waited in line for a beer at the end of the 1st period and didn’t get back to my sit till 10 min into the 2nd intermission

  • Mixed bag

by Summer on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

First off I would say that the game was good, well the part that we got to see live. We got in just fine, no major delays or anything. However, the experience inside the CT Centre was a completely different thing. The line ups on opening night were absolutely ridiculous. Took more than half hour standing in line to order pizzas and drinks. Almost completely missed the second period which really is upsetting at $200 per ticket to see a live event. I would really hope that things improve in terms of service as it is not worth going if you have to miss almost an entire period to get food/drink especially at the price they charge.

  • Need Improvements

by Duane on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

Very long line ups at all stadium vendors and numerous people complaining about this. I missed the full second period of the hockey game standing in line trying to buy a beverage for me and my wife...terrible. I wanted to purchase something to eat but changed my mind as I did not want to miss any more of the game standing in a line up.

  • Not ready to serve 15000 people

by MetalDad on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

Vraiment affreux! I miss 1 period and a half to buy a 4$ bottle of water

  • Concession break totally unorganized.

by PR on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

Went for food during first intermission and missed 2nd period and feturned to seats during 2nd intermission. Never would I get food again at centre.

  • Very poorly planned.

by Terrible on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

Covid protocols at the door were good and smooth. Downhill from there. 60+ min wait for a water. No one enforcing any Covid regulations inside. All about the $$$. Organization couldn’t care less about the “experience”.

  • Great Entry-Slow Concessions

by MArk Foster on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

I was surprised how easy it was to get in with the new vaccine protocol. I was totally disappointed with the speed of concessions. I was trying to be sympathetic because it was opening night. I understand they were going to run out of a lot of things, but that should speed up the line. We waited from 5 min left in the 2nd to 14min left in the 3rd. Over 40 min. Unacceptable for such a small menu.

  • First time at an NHL game with my son!

by SF on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Beautiful arena with comfortable seats. The jumbotron was excellent and the lighting and sound top rate. Good food outlets and restroom facilities. An awesome experience!

  • Mast wearing at the hockey game

    by G. B. on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

I was at the Leafs-Sens season opener. There were clear instructions requiring people to wear masks unless eating or drinking. At least 90% of people not eating/drinking were not wearing masks. Little compliance with and no enforcement of public health rules. There should be enforcement of the public health rules.

  • Leaf nation rules.

    by R. S. on 2021-10-17Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Great hockey game between Leafs and Senators. Next game Leafs might win. Glad Ottawa is getting better.

  • Sens Game Preseason

by Sam on 2021-10-04Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Enjoyed being back out in public, going to a game with other people. Did not like that there was no social distancing. For some reason with all the people booking into our section we were all clumped together. Should have the same as at movie theaters, when someone books seats automatically closes off seats in between.

  • A tad frustrating

by Hockeylover on 2021-10-02Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

This was my first time going to a Sens game and I was quite disappointed with the staff/concessions. I understand that it’s only pre-season but there should definitely have been more concessions open. I’m not sure if maybe it was a staffing issue or not but the lines were way too long and slow. I got into line immediately as the 1st period ended, and didn’t get back to my seat until there was 14 minutes left in the 2nd. The biggest kick in the pants was once I made it to the front of the line. There were 2 people working, and they only had 1 debit machine. So they had 1 employee grabbing drinks and the other taking payments. (Keep in mind this concession only had beverages) To me this was not nearly as efficient as it could have been.

  • Couldn't Get Food

by Jay on 2021-10-02Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

I've been to the CTC a few times. This was the first visit since covid hit. Parking was fairly well organized, didn't take us long to get in or out. Vaccination screening was done quick and efficiently. Their security policy concerning bags and purses is a bit strict but I gets that's the world we live in now. The biggest issue was that there were only a few venues open to get food at. I assume this is because of Covid but it didn't make sense that they would make people stand closer together in more condensed line ups rather than open more food stands and have people spread out. On top of the health reasons, you would have to miss some of the game waiting in line as it took more than 20 minutes to get your food if you chose to wait.

  • Meh...

by Josh on 2021-10-02Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 2 out of 5

Was annoying as hell the staff are way to heavy on the mask thing

  • Awesome time!

    by Caper70 on 2020-03-08Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Me and a friend had seats 6 rows up behind the Ottawa net and the view was excellent. Facilities were easy to navigate and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend seeing an event their. I will be back again!

  • Hockey game

by Sourpuss on 2020-03-01Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Didn’t wait long to get in passed security. There are a lot of different vendors and food selection. Did not like the prices though they are jacked sky high so it’s not enjoyable to bring your kids, for 1 child just to get something quick to eat, drink and a bag of cotton candy I spent $40 not including my meal!

  • Canucks game

by chevy on 2020-03-01Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Good experience for the kids, as the Sens won. It’s fond to rebuild, but your product on the ice has to be somewhat relevant for the cost.

  • Great tickets

by Riy on 2020-02-27Canadian Tire Centre - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Great seats and game. Looking forward to doing it again.
