Ottawa Senators History
The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

Lower the cost of food and parking So I will have money for another game.
While I am annoyed by the parking fee being raised once again, I do appreciate the concession prices having decreased slightly. The staff overall deserves praise for the hard work they do each game. This building is definitely in a transition finding what it wants and needs to be.
Seats I got were the closest to the ice of any time I've gone to a game
Contrary to the so called hockey experts I was quite disappointed with the Sen’s in particular Stone, and Phaneuf. To me they appear lazy and opportunistic. The work ethic of the Sen’s is in my view not particularly good.
Great venue....great seats for a reasonable price.
It was a great games, lots of action, more people than I was expecting but the crowd was cheering and kept the momentum up for the sens.
I took my daughter (12yrs) and her friend to Sen's Fan Fest. The girls had an awesome time and enjoyed the interaction with some of their favourite hockey players. The event was well organized and the facility was great.
Great team, very smart and hard working, and Kanata is a great place!!!
No surprise to anyone, parking at the CTC is a nightmare, one hour to get out of the parking lot.. Sens org has increased the price for tickets and parking - and spent nothing on the pre game show or the fan experience. red Zone is just a big commercial bar and restaurant. Suggest you don't drink much, as you will not be able to go to the bathroom, wait time was 30 minutes for the men's room. I continue to support this team, but wish the CTC and the Sens org would show the same commitment.
Better team won! Penguins brought their game tonight.
Despite the outcome we had a great time! Atmosphere is always positive and fun. Love coming to Ottawa for games.
The venue was amazing ! The professionals, security and staff were all very polite and gracious . I sat beside one of the Senators Brothers ! The crowd was intense and the team won 5-1 ! The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was so far away from downtown so the cost to the game and back was pretty steep . I would recommend this event to any sports fan !
Be careful of your row number. STN means standing - no seats. I should have noticed but I didn't. It's tough for kids in standing section
It was the most exciting game i have ever been to. Cant wait for round 3
The venue is OK but as first timers to this section, we had no idea where the seats were. And due to horrible traffic outside we arrived when the houselights were down, and there was no way to see the row numbers. There were no ushers around anywhere to even point us in the right direction so we resorted to using a cell phone light to guide us which must have been very obnoxious for other fans. Also, the end seats are fine when the play is away, but everyone tends to lean forward so you lose the sight of the puck behind peoples' heads which is very annoying. Also, traffic around the CTC is AWFUL!!!!!
We bought 100 level seats and 300 level seats, so we had the best and the worst. The 100 level seats were roomy and comfortable, the only issue was the plexiglass in the bench area which did a great job of obscuring the view when the action was at the other end, if you stood up you could see over it, however then you blocked everyone else's view. The 300 level seat was in the last row behind the goal. I've been to a few arenas and these were absolutely by far the worst seats I've ever sat in. They were tiny, maybe 12-18" to the next row and the section was banked sharply up, despite that if anyone in the 10 rows in front of you stood up your view was obscured completely. Also there was no way to get down other than elevators except by going down through the entire section. Typically at these events you watch the big screen because the action is so far away, at this arena, you are too far away from the big screen to see it properly either. Don't think I've ever experienced that before. Don't sit there, a concert would almost be laughable from those seats.
Great facility but the location sucks. Give yourself 60 minutes to make puck drop and exiting parking is a total chaos.
I Always have an incredible experience at the CTC!
Game was fantastic, but the everything else was horrendous. No ushers anywhere in the 300 section, fans are beligerent and just flat out rude. Arena itself is really outdated to the point where they had 3 urinals in the men's washroom which meant you had to leave halfway through a period if you needed to use the washroom, no speakers in the washrooms also meant you're missing everything while in there.
