About

When Mark Van Doren, the American poet and teacher, wrote his famous work, "Our Lady Peace" in 1943, he couldn't have imagined the concept of rock'n'roll, let alone that a Canadian rock group would adopt his title for their name. Consisting of Raine Maida, Duncan Coutts, Steve Mazur and Jason Pierce. Our Lady Peace is one of the most successful bands in Canada today, one of only 11 artists with Diamond Certification in Canadian history. The band has sold over 5 million albums worldwide, won four JUNO Awards and ten Much Music Video Awards - one of the most MMVA's ever awarded to any artist or group.

  • Amazing time!

by Leanne on 2025-03-17Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

Great experience! I’ve seen OLP a few times and this was one for the books. OLP enjoyed the fans as much as we enjoyed their performance. Played for almost 2 hours (not including opening acts). Canadian gems

The show was flipping awesome. I was only three to see collective soul and our lady peace and they did not disappoint. 13 year old me and 41 year old me had the best time. What a time! 🤘🏾

  • Collective soul brought it

Absolutely amazing experience! OLP rocked Moncton. Loved the shoutout to The Hip and the icing on the cake was when the entire arena erupted into "Oh Canada". A moment I will never forget! Thank you OLP for an unforgettable concert!!

Incredible show put on by OLP. I saw them here at Summersault in the early 2000s, and this show was even better!

  • Amazing experience

Atmosphere was amazing and the bands got the audience involved which was great. and Our Lady peace played the one song that I wanted so it was awesome and did a big encore.

  • Great Show! Not the correct seats that we paid for.

by Jenny on 2025-03-16Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing! Collective Soul really knows how to put on a show. I was disappointed in the seating though. I made sure to book aisle seats. I booked 5 months in advance, with VIP so we could really get a great experience. I booked seats that were 4 rows back from the stage in section 3. We were suppose to be seat 9 and 10 in the aisle according to the ticket master website while booking. I tried really hard to get those seats and was excited about them for 5 months. When we showed up at the concert, seats 9 and 10 were way in the row. We were off to the side, in the middle of the row. I was not impressed, and would not have paid over $300 per seat for those seats. If you are allowed to pick out your particular seat online while booking, I expect to get those seats during the show. Ticketmaster should consider this when laying out their seating plans. I 'm sure we were not the only disappointed people.

  • Not enough stars to give

by Kandudamage on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

I left it to late to get tickets and ended up in the nose bleeds. Even in the nose bleed section they made the show even better having screens on the bulkheads for viewing. Nice touch guys. Even the sound was superb, so clear and it felt like you were right on top of the stage. Completely amazed that the sound was so crisp and clear for Our Lady Peace. The way Rain interacted with the audience was by far the most interaction by a band that I've seen in a really really long time. I enicialy went to see Collective Soul with Our Lady Peace the added bonus. Went away an even bigger fan of Our Lady Peace. I have most of their stuff including some of Rain's solo stuff as well as some of Chantelle's stuff. Best show I've seen in years and I've seen a lot of shows in the 68 years I've been on the planet. As I said you don't have enough stars to give Our Lady Peace the credit that show is due. Would I go see them again, in a heartbeat. As to Collective Soul, love them and have 95% of their cds. Wished they would have done Counting The Days but oh well they did a fine show no the less. They helped make the overall experience better because of them being on the bill. Even enjoyed Ash Molloy. My only knock and a minor one. Sound wise you could tell Asl Molloy didn't have the power to push the system so sound was distant feeling. With Collective Soul it was better but not as good as Our Lady Peace. Almost like the techies were running the sound at half pace and not giving Collective Soul the power to push their sound more clearer and crisper. Although they were good the sound could have been better. It was probably very good on the floor and lower bowls where you were closer to the speaker systems but you really noticed the differences in the nose bleeds, from opening act to finishing act. I get it, it's Our Lady Peace and they didn't want Collective Soul blowing them of the stage. But I'm here to tell you even if Collective Soul had full power they weren't blowing Our Lady Peace off the stage. No band period could have done that, period. It was Our Lady Peaces' night and theirs alone.

  • Best rock show Halifax has seen in a while.

by Ttypegeoff on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Great crowd and great sound. Both bands were excellent and I was sad to see it end. Can't wait for another like that.

This was the absolute best show I've seen yet. Never fails to be an amazing night with these fellas

  • Great Show!!

by Aly on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 4 out of 5

Performance by the band was amazing. The only thing we didn’t love was the lights used were obnoxiously bright and flashing constantly most of the show and the volume was uncomfortably loud. If you have sensory sensitivities this isn’t the show for you unless you come prepared with glasses and headphones but nonetheless the music was top notch.

  • It was awesome!

by Tark on 2025-03-16Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

It’s a very nice establishment, and it was my first time being there. Everything was great, with the exception of the way that the “beer’s” were being sold. It ruined my experience of seeing the music band’s I went to see. It took too much time to get my alcohol.

  • Great show; these guys really rock!

by OLP brought the house down! on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great from start to finish! I only wish everyone agreed to stand up…sitting at a rock show weirds me out.

  • Fan from the beginning!

    by Andy R. on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

This was only my 4th time seeing OLP live, but it was definitely the best. It reminded me of a 90s rock concert…the Summer Sault days!!! The played all day he songs I wanted to hear including some I never expected, which was awesome. Great way to end a tour.

  • Fantastic show!

by Andrew on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

I haven’t seen OLP live since 1998 at Summersault or Edgefest - can’t remember which one they played at. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was happily surprised by their energy, quality of music and good set list with a few tributes thrown in. And this was their last show of the tour so they had to be tired but you couldn’t tell based on their playing and energy on stage.

  • Amazing Performance

by Eddie on 2025-03-16Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 5 out of 5

OLP and Collective Soul was an amazing concert. Two legendary bands for the price of one. Glad to see some bands consider their fans and make it affordable for everyone to experience. Class acts that I hope continue to rock on for years to come!
