About

Guitar Review calls Paco de Lucia "possibly the most advanced guitarist in any idiom." From his widely acclaimed world tours and movie soundtracks, he has become a living legend of the flamenco guitar & one of Spain's ranking musical ambassadors to the world. Heavyweights like Wynton Marsalis, John McLaughlin, & Chick Corea are some of his famous collaborators. His concerts are renowned for their awesome displays of musical virtuosity, raw vocalizing, and whirlwind dance. Paco de Lucia takes you on an adventure—from light to shade, from fury to reflection; its flamenco that speaks to the soul.

  • Glad I didn't pay full-price!

I was VERY disappointed with the concert. I thought there would be some familiar songs but that was not the case. It was just a lot of strumming. Perhaps if I had been a guitar player I would have enjoyed it more?????

The entire show was amazing, however I believe the opening act actually stole the show. Jorge Martinez was very entertaining and the music was incredible. Paco and company were also terrific, the music and the dancing. It was certainly a show to attend.

I was totally blown away by the performances of Paco and Jorge. Paco is the Maestro when it comes to making his guitar sing; effortless, smooth, intoxicating! The Flamenco dancer and singers were excellent as was the first act. Jorge has a very unique picking style which was intriquing to me as a guitar virtuoso want-a-be; his melodies were more classic Spanish/latin and well received. Wish I could control the fretboard 1% of these masters!

When i thought I have seen the best in my life, here comes Paco with his group of musicians and singers plus an amazing dancer and I had to change my views. This was the best of them all. 10 minutes of standing ovation.

The players were amazing - I would see either again. What a trip to Spain - the home of flamenco! It was all brought to us in the music they played, the songs sung in the tradional way and the "dance". Bravo!

Paco De Lucia is called the maestro for very good reason. From the moment he stepped into the spotlight, he had the audience in his hands. And what incredibly wonderful hands! His mastery of the guitar is legendary, and he demonstrated his full range to us tonight. The power of the music, the passion with which he and his band played and danced, the evocative atmosphere conjured up by the staging made this not just an evening of entertainment, but an experience and a privilege to have been a part of. I would have paid twice as much to see this, and recommend that anyone with any feeling race to get tickets to see him play.
