About

Paul Brandt, the Canadian cowboy crooner from Calgary, Alberta, became an international country music star with his 1996 debut album Calm Before the Storm. The former pediatric nurse had embarked to Nashville a year prior to hone his craft, and the endeavor led to two Top 10 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart: his debut single “My Heart Has a History” and its immediate follow-up “I Do,” which reached a career peak at No. 2 on the chart. Calm Before the Storm charted on the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified gold by the RIAA. Following subsequent releases like 1997’s Outside the Frame and 1999’s That’s the Truth, Brandt started his own Brand-T record label and self-produced projects such as his 2007 Juno Award-winning album Risk and the 2012 gospel-infused Just As I Am. In 2018, he released the ambitious two-part EP series The Journey YYC, Vol. 1 and The Journey BNA, Vol. 2. Throughout his nearly three-decade career, Brandt has collaborated with Keith Urban, Lindsay Ell, Deana Carter, John Anderson and more.

    Good show

by Greg on 2011-12-11MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Opening act, High Valley set the tone for a good show. The 3 vocalists along with 2 piece backup band sang for just over 30 minutes. Short World Vision pledge break was tastefully done. 20 minute break to set up for the featured act - Paul Brandt. This is his first tour in 4 years. Paul Brandt accompanied by his wife doing backup vocals & 6 piece band is still amazing and worth seeing again and again. Performance about 90 minutes. This was his first visit to the large MTS Centre. In the past smaller venues such as the Burton Cummings theatre were used. Extra star is for signing autographs after the show.

a very good show. don't like seats at the stairs as the need for beer can interupt the show as everyone has to get passed you!!!
