About

Paul Brandt, the Canadian cowboy crooner from Calgary, Alberta, became an international country music star with his 1996 debut album Calm Before the Storm. The former pediatric nurse had embarked to Nashville a year prior to hone his craft, and the endeavor led to two Top 10 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart: his debut single “My Heart Has a History” and its immediate follow-up “I Do,” which reached a career peak at No. 2 on the chart. Calm Before the Storm charted on the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified gold by the RIAA. Following subsequent releases like 1997’s Outside the Frame and 1999’s That’s the Truth, Brandt started his own Brand-T record label and self-produced projects such as his 2007 Juno Award-winning album Risk and the 2012 gospel-infused Just As I Am. In 2018, he released the ambitious two-part EP series The Journey YYC, Vol. 1 and The Journey BNA, Vol. 2. Throughout his nearly three-decade career, Brandt has collaborated with Keith Urban, Lindsay Ell, Deana Carter, John Anderson and more.

    Paul Brandt was amazing!!

by MEATA on 2011-12-09MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Paul Brandt was a great concert. We had floor seats, close enough that we could see everything. His music is awesome, and for being a Canadian Country Artist made it that much better. I love the fact that his wife Elizabeth is his back up singer and they travel together when touring. High Valley was a great opening act too. Both Paul Brandt and High Valley made me feel right at home with them as they are really sincere and honest shows. Both showed their support for World Vision and all the great work they have done with that wonderful organization!!

The show was wonderful!...at long last I was able to attend a Paul Brandt concert. I have been a fan since he started his career. He interacts well with the audience and his friendly, down home charm shines on stage. He is a credit to our vast selection of Canadian talent!

by Hoosier on 2011-09-13Western Fair Grandstand - London

I am not a huge country fan, but I went with 3 other friends who like Paul Brandt. I have to say that it was one of the best concerts I have been to. He sounds amazing live (better than he does on CD), and the environment was perfect!

    Paul Brandt was exceptional

by Briar on 2011-09-12Western Fair Grandstand - London

We thought the show was right up there with the best we have seen. We attend CMAfest annually in Nashville and have seen a lot of live concerts. Having Paul at our hometown fair was a delight. If he would have been there for two nights, I would have been too.
