COVERAGE WAS GREAT/SOUND WAS TOO LOUD TO ENJOY - I WOULD RECOMMEND TONE IT DOWN ABIT NEXT TIME
I enjoyed the PBR. Lots of bull rides to see, good music, good view. Only thing - couldn't understand the announcers! I got the tickets on a promo and worked out to be around $20 each - and a well spent $20 for sures! Originally they were $50 ..... I woudn't pay that.
The PBR would have been a much nicer event to enjoy if the announcer didn't have to scream over the music. Why do they have to play heavy metal, acid rock music at an event like that? Why can't they play country music and not so loud. If I attend again I'll be bringing ear plugs.
This event was well worth the drive. i live about 3.5 hours from Calgary and came in for the night. It was 3 hours of non stop bull riding action. As soon as one competitor was down and out the next was coming out of the shoot. They say that bull riding it is the longest 8 seconds in sports and I believe it. My heart was pounding, these cowboys now how to put on a show.
We had a amazing time at the PBR National Finals. It was a lot of fun with a lot of action and, well, a whole lot of bull. My wife's 8 year old said it best with, "That's 2000 pounds of angry meat" What a blast, and we'll be back again next year.
Anything visual was quite good - great bull riders, bulls and special effects!! The let down was the horritbly LOUD, LOUD music that played throughout the entire show. We went to the show with friends and it was impossible to comment amongst ourselves regarding the different riders presented. Even the commentators were drowned out by the incessant noise. We thought that at least during intermission we would be able to carry on a conversation but there again the music was BLARING!! At the very least, the commentators should be able to be heard by the audience. Unfortunately, we will think twice before attending the PBR again - what a shame!!
It was an amazing event... so much fun to watch those bulls in action. However... it would have been nice if they would have played more country music, seeing as it is a cowboy event. There was only one or two country songs the entire time and the rest was pop/heavy rock. just a suggestion :)
was good intertainment for the cost. wish they could have more than one event per year.
The attempt to create an 'event' with the loud music with every ride just means the commentators have to yell to be heard. This is not entertainment to us. The venue with the two rings is great. The quality of the bulls and riders is great. PLEASE TURN DOWN THE NOISE!!! The people who want a rock concert can find LOTS of them to go to. The events like this are not that many and shouldn't be spoiled by such a level of noise that you can't chat with the people you come with. This is why people prefer to stay home and watch TV. By the end of the show I feel assaulted by the noise.
Great Event and worth every cent. Cant wait until next year!!
It was a great time, the only thing that I could recommend is the balance between the music and the announcer...When the music was playing you couldnt hear a thing he was saying, so cut the announcer, or lower the music when hes talking. Otherwise a great night of watching Bulls get the best of our best cowboys!!
It was as real evening out with the family. Enjoyed Tyler Thomson and the amazing Guilherme Marchi. That guy is glued on a bull. And offcourse the amazing Saskachewan rider Aaron Roy. Negative was the search for a program booklet it took me 15 minutes to find one.
Awsome show. I go every year and it just seems to get better every time. If you love bullriding this is a must.
The sound was great, the arena was full of adreline, the bull riders rode great. THe event had great music to pump up the crowd, the announcers kept us involved and the contestants acknowledged the crowds cheers and screams!
I was impressed with the way all the riders showed such proffessionalism and sportsmanship throughhout the event . The bulls for the most part were really on fire but I think there were a few too many rerides, wich in my opinion means those calibur of bulls did not belong in the championship event.
Awesome event, great competitors. I would love to see more. I would also really appreciate the music being not quite so loud ... then we could actually hear the announcers!!
It bull riding was enjoyable. There have been better clowns in the past that like to entertain. Should have had something for the intermission.
Went to the PBR on Friday and it was my first time!! Weather was terrible so not a big crowd. I think the "lions" won more that the "christians" LOL. Cowboys had a tough time staying on thos bulls!! Great Show!!
What a night!!! Bulls and cowboys, hoping to make it to 8 seconds. What else could you ask for on a snowy night.
It would be more exciting if the clowns would compete against each other to show off their talents with a bull.
