About

Peter Gabriel’s five-decade-long career includes nine studio albums, film scores for the likes of Martin Scorsese, six Grammy Awards and two separate inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a solo artist and founder of ’70s prog-rock pioneers Genesis). As a solo artist, Gabriel has sold an estimated 16 million albums worldwide, with his fifth studio album — 1986’s So — going five-times platinum in the U.S. and producing the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Sledgehammer.” Gabriel’s catalog of hits also includes ballads like “In Your Eyes,” which was featured in an iconic scene from the 1989 teen rom-com, Say Anything. Gabriel has performed in front of countless sold-out crowds on world tours that often include large-scale performances and conceptual set design. In May 2023, Gabriel embarked on i/o – The Tour, his first world tour in seven years, which features songs from his forthcoming 10th studio album, i/o — his first full-length album of new songs in over two decades.

    Musical perfection, but….

by Fanboy on 2023-11-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The band was tight and Peter was at his best. My only complaint was the lighting under the risers on stage. For some reason they were pointed up towards to audience and I was unable to see the performers on the right side of the stage all night. It didn’t ruin the concert, but it was a little frustrating.

    Oustanding

    by Peter A on 2023-10-27

Meilleur show de PG de à vie. Les nouvelles chansons sont sublimes. Love can Heal…wow. À celui qui vient de laisser le commentaire avant moi et les autres twits à moitié chauds ou gelés qui n’attendaient que les hits come Sledgehammer, une petite écoute de Growing up s’impose…

The whole is so much greater!

by Dave on 2023-10-14Rogers Arena - Vancouver

To spend an evening with the greatness of artist that is Peter Gabriel is to be invited into a sound and sight world that transforms you and leaves you changed forever. Saturday’s concert in Vancouver was that exact complete experience. Three hours of masterfully designed and delivered sets, supported by a superb band that included the monumental talents of Tony Levin and Manu Katche, took the audience on a trip through Peter’s back and current catalog with one great sweeping arc that brought the audience time and time again to their joyous feet. Ending the evening with Biko, and Peter’s words throughout the show, reminded us all how fragile our world is and that the preservation of justice and peace is something we must strive and be prepared to fight for. As we left the show and our faces were hit by the night air, we knew we had been changed.

    Great concert by top artist!

by Baragana on 2023-10-12Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Peter Gabriel demonstrated why he is an all-around artist, and Rock'n Roll Hall of Famer. His music, coupled with background projections from well-known video artists, was awesome. The band playing behind and around him is very talented and contributed to makw this a memorable performance!

    Moment of a lifetime

Amazing concert from start to finish. Great graphics and he played for almost 3 hours. Voice hasn't changed if he was here in a few months I'd go again.

    Not what I expected

by R&B break on 2023-10-11Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I expected and wanted to hear more than 4 of the older songs. I loved the lighting and effects as well as the art work he brought. He engaged the audience and had 2 ovations but I know people felt it was too mellow.

Great concert, but blinded by the light!

by wzr on 2023-10-11Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Very glad I went to the concert. It was amazing to see Peter Gabriel, who was in excellent form. The backup band was amazing, too, and I loved hearing the cello and violin. The only problem I had was with the lighting. The set was built so that the lights came from the floor, and was constantly flashing at the audience. Being migraine prone, I was closing my eyes through much of the concert. Next time, I'll know to bring sunglasses! However, this was a minor inconvenience overall, and I definitely recommend the show!
