I forgot how much I miss basketball. Bring the NBA back to Vancouver
we need more NBA games in the city, it gives a nice atmosphere to vancouver
Pretty cool to see Steve Nash play in Canada... too bad all the starters were benched in the fourth though! I know it is the preseason but even Amare was encouraging Nash to go back in. At least Nash threw his shoes to the audience, eliminating all his chances of playing again that night.
Great having basketball in Vancouver again. Let's get more!
The game was great, the atmosphere was the best. Being an American now living here, I have enjoyed the NBA experience for a lot of years, this rivals LA and NYC for the fun.The crowd was great, the facility was well run. Comeback NBA, comeback.
I miss the NBA! Good entertainment in between official timeouts and halftime. Even though it was an exhibition game, it was good to watch live basketball, especially Steve Nash!
it's a sold out basketball game that proves Vancouver deserve a NBA team in the city
I took my little brother and sister to this game for an early christmas present as i know they LOVE basketball, and Steve Nash. They arent from town so had to travel in, but said it was definitly worth it. As one of them put it when we first got there "Oh my gosh, I cant believe that i am in the same building as Steve Nash". Definitly would recommend again. Was nice to see so many peole enthusiastic about this event, especially those doing the promoting and throwing gifts out into the crowd.
I really enjoyed the game, the atmosphere was great. Phoenix was not as competitive against Portland as I would of liked. It looked like Portland had more size then Phoenix. I think it is time for the NBA to move one of their financially troubled franchises to Vancouver. Vancouver is a strong enought city to support hockey and basketball.
Last nights event with BC's own Steve Nash was an awesome event. It was great to see a sell out crowd for one of his charities. It was also awesome to see Kessler, Burrows, Mitchell and some of the other boys from our Canucks at the game. I think Stevie Nash should head line a push to bring the game of basketball back to our fair city of Vancouver. It was great 10 years ago, the kid's loved it. Allwe need is better management and a fair pick of star players to make a come back.
It was a good preseason game. Pheonix has a second home in Vancouver.
yeah it was awesome to have the NBA in vancouver did not realize it would be a success was fun to watch.. it was kind of dead in the beginning but people started doing the wave towards the end and people were being sport about it....our section 117 was not a good sport were not cheering at all when the phoenixs girl came out to give souvenirs she was pumping out crowd but no response(pathethic) so she went over to other sections..... ,i think it was a good effort coming back before the half especially for Clark and Frye they really could use the size but i am not hapi with the rebounding most of the time every one just goes at the other end ,no second chance effort...was also nice that steve gave out his shoes...does that mean it gave him a reason not to play? ,was a down to earth move, love you steve.....one more thing though for the portland blazers, they could use a smile in their faces eventhough coming in a city without a team, they were all frowning, hey they got fans here too
The game is awesome. hope we have our own team here in VANCOUVER! More NBA Games here in Vancouver!!!!!
assign an NBA team to Vancouver. The fans are here!
The NBA is a great place for getting together with the boys, a family outing, or a girls night out. It has all the aspects of an entertaining night. If we can get Mr. Stern to bring a team back her theres not doubt it would be successful. I would pay good money to see the Lakers or the Celtics here. Come back next pre-season.
We had tickets in the "nosebleed" section but found them just fine. Great view, comfortable etc. We had lots of fun! Nice to see basketball back in Vancouver and to see Seve Nash play. '
I haven't seen an NBA game in Vancouver for years! I'm glad Steve Nash could bring his team up here for an exhibition against Portland. I was on the upper balcony, and you could see everything, no problem. I would definitely recommend going if they ever have another NBA game at GM place. My favourite moment was when they showed on the screen a couple of fans holding up a sign that said bring the NBA back to Vancouver. The camera stayed focused on them for a while and everyone started cheering.
This was an unforgettable, poorly played contest by Phoenix. They played like they didn't want to be here and Nash never even bothered to come out for the last 5-10 minutes even when everyone was calling for him. The whole team should refund our money. I spent a lot of money to watch millionaires play worse than high school kids. It may not have meant much to them but the price for us was still for a real game. You won't sucker me twice.
It was an absolute BLAST, great night, fun, exciting, great fan participations and interaction. Loads of give away including autographed shoes from Nash. I would recommend to anyone wanting a fun family night to take this in next time they come to town
