The group put on a great show at the Orpheum. The venue included several guest performers. Group did some Christmas numbers, new work, as well as many favourites as requested by the people in attendance.
While I can’t comment on the actual concert, which we were looking forward to before all the delays, I can say that we are so disappointed to not make it due to the road conditions. Having been a fan of Pink Martini for 20 years I am doubly disappointed because not only were we not able to go, it is not one of the covered reasons for ticket insurance. Unfortunately we had to eat the cost but one day if they come back I would like to see them!!
so much energy! so much great musicianship! New members didn't disappoint one bit. wonderful mix of christmas and old favourites. Utterly delightful.
Very talented musicians, including all the new vocalists! Loved the Christmas start to concert, new twists on Christmas songs, and sharing the New Year's song too. Loved the warmth and inclusiveness of the many fans who braved the snowy and freezing conditions to come out and were honoured with requests of the songs they have sung over 26 years! Amazing! Very good concert, would go again, or even see them in Portland!
Was so excited from the time I bought my ticket because I love these guys--and I was not disappointed. Wish I had a time machine so I could go back and experience this concert again and again.
Amazing band! Amazing show! Excellent musicians and vocalists, great range of music, a fun band to see. Hope to see them again, but next time with Storm Large…was a bit disappointed she was not on this tour. Fingers crossed for next time.
Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver BC is a place to go and sit down and enjoy a diverse menu of concerts. I had not been out for about 2 1/2 years and was bowled over to find that not only can you buy drinks and snacks to take into the theatre but you can get up anytime to replenish. Also the use of cell phones for filming and photographing was rampant. People clutching their cell phones were also turning them on to see if they had missed a message?? I went to the concert to see a live concert not stare at someone's phone as they were filming. When I asked a couple people to lower their screens and put them in front of themselves they seemed a bit clueless that it was bothering anyone. Really!!! I must say the ushers did their best to control the situations but they had their hands full.
A most look forward to concert after COVID cancellations. We braved horrible winter conditions to get to the Orpheum but were determined not to miss it. This was our 3rd Pink Martini concert it was a great night out and we look forward to seeing them visit us in Vancouver again.
This was one of the most enjoyable concerts I have attended. The musical selections were brilliant as were the musicians. The three vocalists were magnificent. I will absolutely catch the next concert!
Great evening with an amazing group of incredibly talented musicians. The skills of the Pink Martini members is truly impressive.
It was a treat! The musicians are amazing and we had the chance to listen to 4 singers! Pink Martini is such a real musical experience. Loved it! Don't miss it!
Strings horns three vocalists make for a great concert we enjoyed it immensely
Loved being in the spectacular Orpheum Theatre filled with Pink Martini fans. I will get right to the point. It felt like PM were doing a “make-good” obligatory concert because of the one cancelled early in 2022 and they slapped together a few Christmas songs off the top and weirdly ended with auld lang syne which we were sure was just them practicing for their New Year’s eve gigs in Portland. We loved the original PM hits and the guest singers. And still love Pink Martini. Will maybe see them live again and hope for a more “present” performance as opposed to this one which felt a bit like they were mailing it in.
Pink Martini lived up to its stellar reputation - vibrant, exciting - wonderful entertainment - can't wait until the next time
After waiting to go to this concert for over 2 1/2 yrs with multiple cancelations due to Covid, I was excited to finally see Pink Martini. Unfortunately Vancouver received a record dump of snow and I couldn’t get transportation to the concert!!
We were expecting a classic high performing music instead we got Jewish songs which we don’t understand it.
It was a Fun evening and three years in the waiting (due to Covid)!
We have ordered three rounds since Pink Martini was first added to our choice of musical intoxicants. Each time we see this collection of incredibly talented musicians we are more amazed by the performances and more thoroughly entertained. Bravo!
My second time seeing PM and I can't wait to see them again. Fabulous concert. I was with two "novices" who had never seen PM before. We are all totally blown away by the group's talent, eclectic music and upbeat style. One thing - tell the leader to drop the French. He's no good at it and it detracts from the concert.
