  • Randy was Randy

Did all his hits without much banter or fanfare. Great venue - easy to hear and see. Randy performs with the ease of a seasoned pro.

  • Randy Travis Was a real PRO

The last two concerts my wife and I saw was Lee Ann Rimes and Big and Rich .Though both were very good It was so loud, and we like it kicking, we had to leave as we thought our ears were going to blow up..I don't know If the artist is responsible for the volume or the sound man just wants everyone to become as def as he is. But I would never go see these two acts again..As for Randy Travis He was pro..His band was Pro..The best show I'v seen yet..I did not expect near the show we got..I'v always liked Randy Travis but my wife and I are truly huge fans..The volume was also perfect...This sound man was also pro...

One thing to point out was the fact that the band was too loud. The band drowned out Randy Travis 75% of the time...

  • Randy Travis was delightful

I took friends from England who had not heard of R.T. but they were fans by the end of the concert. Very enjoyable evening. We both bought the CD to continue enjoying the music.

  • Randy sounds as good as ever :)

by Vistadeck on 2012-06-23Deerfoot Inn and Casino - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Wonderful to see Randy and his longtime players with him in such an intimate venue - I've only seen him in large arenas like Maple Leaf Gardens in the past - what a joy. He did not do a very long show it seemed but certainly adequate and covered all I would have expected to hear. Absolutely loved his set from "Storms of Life" - he could have extended the show a bit by making it full songs instead of just a montage on that maybe, it still is my favorite album :) - no encore, just up and gone at the end - whoosh ! Lol - but if you have a wonderful intimate venue to see him at be sure to go, and also take time to watch his band, they have been with him for decades most of them, throughout his career - and add a lot to the music that is heard, give them some love :) /clap /clap smile !!!

I have seen Randy Travis on many occasions but never get tired of the man. He has a way of making everyone comfortable and you feel like you are just sitting in a small group receiving personal attention. The Red Robinson show theatre is a perfect size venue to have the feeling. Great Night!
